If you're like me, you're ready to follow your favorite Battlestar Galactica cast members wherever they go, even if they end up on an ill-conceived star vehicle for Benjamin Bratt, (sorry Grace Park!). Thankfully, most of the BSG alums seem to be moving in the right direction. Mary McDonnell (Roslin) was great on a recent Grey's Anatomy guest stint, and Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck) landed a guest gig on Law and Order and is starring in a pilot produced by Dick Wolf. IMDb tells me that Jamie Bamber (Apollo) will play a cop in the upcoming Law & Order: London. I'm sure most BSG fans wouldn't mind sitting through a few procedural shows in order to keep an eye on these former Colonials, but will they follow them off the small screen and download their audio books?
Galactica Sitrep is reporting that BSG's Michael Hogan (Tigh), Alessandro Juliani (Gaeta), and Kandy McClure (Dualla) have signed on to narrate a new original sci-fi project from Audible.com called METAtropolis. According to Audible, METAtropolis will be a series of audio stories about a post-apocalyptic world where "eco survivalists" battle tech-heavy baddies. Sound familiar? I thought so too.
So, if you can't wait until January -- when BSG returns with new eps to Sci Fi Channel -- to hear Michael Hogan's defeated rasp, visit Audible.com/meta for a free sampling of the project. I totally recommend it. There's nothing like hearing Hogan's voice saying "Cigarettes are sooo twentieth century" coming out of your computer speakers.

What's with the hate for good series lately? The Cleaner is good! And she's pretty good in it. Certainly more exciting than the generic procedurals or frackin' boring as hell Grey's Anatomy.
Not an audiobook fan, but glad they're finding work.

Being an Audible member I was intrigued by the idea METAtropolis. However, after less than 30 minutes I deleted it from my iPod. It sucked.
It's a shame the Canada based actors on BSG aren't getting some of the great offers out there. Michael Hogan especially. His performance in the last year has been the best of the series. I haven't always liked the character of Tigh, but when he was revealed to be one of the Final Five, it opened the character up to so many levels and Hogan stepped up to the challenge.

Wow this is great. I haven't listened to a worthwhile audio book since Challenge of the Yukon... "On you Malamutes!" "Mush!" "Mush!"
