It's been a long time coming, but 24 is finally coming back. After a mediocre sixth season, followed by endless news about the re-invigorated season seven, it all got pushed aside. Kiefer Sutherland went to jail. Production was delayed. Oh right... and don't forget the WGA Strike. I hear that played a role, too.
FOX has announced that as with seasons past, 24 will return with a two-night, four-hour premiere on Sunday, January 11th, and Monday, January 12th. Plus, there's the two-hour movie Redemption airing later this month on Sunday, November 23rd. That's a lot of 24 to look forward to.
If you aren't excited yet, wait'll you see what Jack does to Tony "the clock wasn't silent" Almeida in the latest trailer for Day 7.
Wow - I love a pissed-off Jack Bauer. "So help me god, I will kill you and you will stay dead this time." Snap!
I've gotta say, that despite the fact that the new trailer contains about 90% of the same footage as the original, the newer footage has really got me pumped. Tony looks like a complete jerk now (amazing what going from a soul-patch to a scrubby goatee can do for you), Jon Voight looks creepy no matter what type of character he's playing, and we got a few quick shots of Chloe (stay at home mom - I like it), Buchanan, as well as a few glimpses of new cast members Janeane Garofalo and Rhys Coiro (Walsh on Entourage). It's gonna be good to get my weekly dose of "Dammit!!" back.

Thanks for the catch Robert, I fixed it. Wasn't thinking clearly. In the future, if you see any errors, please use our "Corrections" link at the top of the page.

I'm truly depressed over Tony's turn to the dark-side. Although, I would assume he is just extremely hurt and angry, seeking revenge for Michelle's death. I still will be so sad to see him fighting AGAINST Jack. Hate it, hate it, hate it! I'm hoping by hour 24 he will have come back around to being the kind of man he was in seasons 2 through 5 ... minus the alcoholic slump...

Fowak, I would wait for it to see.
You know that the villains in the beginning of a seasons may not be as bad as you first thought, and that goes the other way around as well. You just have to wait for a few episodes past the middle of the season, when all these revelations and turns happen before the big final asskicking, as it was like always in the past six seasons. :)

I always suspected he hadn't died, mainly because it was so hard for me to accept his death. I love that character (and the actor) and having him turn is a nice twist that I can't wait to see play out.
Anyway I finished season 6 and although it didn't start out well I think it ended on a very strong note, so I'm firmly back in with 24. I'm looking forward to the 2-hour movie and the next season.

Does anyone know how Fox's Monday night schedule will change when 24 returns? I am a big fan of Terminator and Prison Break also, but haven't heard which is moving and to when. My DVR is already overloaded on Monday nights...
