Every single media outlet, whether it's the major networks, the cable news networks, print, radio, online, and carrier pigeon, will be covering the election tonight. And that includes us!Starting at 7pm ET, TV Squad will be doing election posts. We'll be covering all of the networks, including ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX News, MSNBC and Comedy Central. We'll have several posts during the night and several posts after we find out who the next President is. This could be around 9:30pm or it could be around 11:15pm. It could even be 4am, though I'm not sure how many of us will still be awake at that time.
These won't be posts that analyze state results or exit polls or voting trends or who's ahead and who's behind. We'll be doing the fun stuff, like what mistakes the anchors make, what Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have to say, what anchor on FOX News cries because Obama is ahead, and the cleanup procedure at MSNBC if Keith Olbermann's head explodes from a McCain win. Tune in tonight!

Sounds like you have to perfect idea how to cover the election. Bob, I notice you do a very down the middle review when it comes to political news. You are a rare species. Just have fun with it. Poke fun of everyone from everything. Let the anchors do the serious work. If Olbermann's head explodes just as good and that will probably happen no matter what the outcome is. Myself will be catchinng up on my dvr and watching Iron Man. I will take a peek here and there but I am done with the whole thing. Yes I did vote. Now I think about it. Iron Man and a large pizza with ice cream! I just might forget about the election completely.

Heh. Not sure if you're being sincere or making fun of Bob there, chadwick. Anyway, this was a format that we discussed and decided on as a group. It's not as involved as live-blogging, but it's also not some long end-of-the-night wrap-up.

Maybe I'm naive, but I actually think chadwick is being sincere.

No offense, guys, but the carrier pigeons are my trusted source for the important election news.

I wouldn't trust the pigeons coming. Sarah Palin is going bird hunting in a helicopter to celebrate election day.

I was being Sincere. Bob does a wonderful job for TV Squad. I think if everyone watches the election coverage just for a laugh they are going to get a real treat. There will be tons of mistakes by the networks and anchors. The more serious these guys get the funnier it gets!

This sounds awesome as I probably won't be watching coverage and just have multiple screens open online! I hope you include clips of the funny.

My friends and I are gathering in an online chatroom while we all watch different networks: CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, and Fox. Should be fun and nerve wracking.
