Come on! You think that I just spoiled the entire November 3rd episode of Prison Break by saying that someone will die? I don't think so as it is a given at least one person will die during Sweeps time when Prison Break is concerned and, in case you didn't know, November Sweeps started last Thursday. However, before the jump I'll leave it to that: someone dies. I won't tell you who, I won't tell you how, I won't tell you why before the jump since I know how to spoil shows. But anything goes after the jump.
Oh and in case you don't want to know exactly who dies this week, I don't know either. But I'm making my predictions in this post based on official descriptions from the network and spoilers. So let's see if you come up with the same conclusions as I am.
Spoilers follow!
The facts about the death are these...
- The official network description for episode "Greatness Achieved" says: "a team member makes the ultimate sacrifice while planning the underground break-in for Scylla." What can be more "ultimate" than death?
- In an interview with Michael Ausiello from Entertainment Weekly, Amaury Nolasco said that a series regular gets killed in episode 9 and that Michael takes it pretty hard.
- Krisin Dos Santos from E! confirmed in her spoilers that there would be three big deaths over episodes 8 and 9 one of which becing a character who has been on the show since day one.
The network's press site lists these as the cast members...
- Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows)
- Wentworth Miller (Michael Scofield)
- William Fichtner (Alexander Mahone)
- Amaury Nolasco (Fernando Sucre)
- Wade Williams (Brad Bellick)
- Robert Knepper (T-Bag)
- Sarah Wayne Callies (Sara Tancredi)
- Michael Rapaport (Don Self)
Chris Vance (James Whistler)- Jodi Lyn O'Keefe (Susan B. Anthony/Gretchen)
- Danay Garcia (Sofia)
- Marshall Allman (LJ Burrows)
- Cress Williams (Wyatt)
James Hiroyuki Liao (Roland Glenn)
The facts about upcoming episodes are these...
- Official descriptions and spoilers list these as being part of the action in upcoming episodes: Michael, Sara, Sucre, Lincoln, Mahone, Self, Gretchen, T-Bag.
With that info in hand, I think Bellick is the one biting the dust. Since Amaury Nolasco said it will be a series regular leaving the show, I don't think he meant LJ, Sofia or Wyatt. Removing those three and the names found in upcoming episodes descriptions, it leaves until one name: Brad Bellick. Let's face it, Bellick has served his purpose since the inmates escaped from Fox River. Since then, he's been almost useless. Yes, he helped here and there but someone else could have done his job. From the description, it looks like Bellick will go out with a bang. I wouldn't be surprised if the team needs someone to stay inside a room so that the others can escape but that it means the person staying inside will die.
Do you think I'm making the right assumption in thinking that Bellick is leaving the show this month? If Bellick does bite the dust, do you think it'll help or hurt the show? Let your voice be heard in comments below!

I'll bet Sara Wayne Callies got knocked up again and is leaving the show (again) to raise her second child, so Dr. Tancredi will have her head chopped off - this time for real. All the previews of upcoming episodes that include her are simply fake teasers.
When she comes back for Season 5, season 4 will have all been a bad, stupid, unbelievably dumb dream.

Oh speaking of Bellick, can someone remind me why he is still with the Scofield gang? Mahone got his murder conviction thrown out, so what is hanging over Bellick's head to keep him with the group? Obviously Mahone doesn't need Bellick to hunt Scofield/Burrows anymore (and he himself is an underground fugitive).
I sure hope they don't kill off Mahone, though - he's one of my favorite characters (along with T-Bag, who they'd never kill off).

It makes sense logically, but I'm not sure how Bellick's death would have a big impact on Michael. I thought Bellick first when I read the rumour, but dismissed it when I read the tidbit about Michael taking it hard.
I was wondering if Amaury Nolasco's jump to the big screen might mean he bites it (a big death can't hurt your street value!). You're probably right it's Bellick, but I don't think his death would have the impact of any of the others.
We'll see tomorrow I guess.

I, for one didn't appreciate being told that ANYONE dies on tomorrows show.
Do I think you spoiled the ENTIRE episode? Probably not.
Do I think you spoiled a good portion of it? Hell yes.
Am I pissed off as a result of this? You betcha.

I don't watch prison Break, but to try and argue that saying someone dies in the next episode is ABSOLUTELY a spoiler? Are you a f***ing idiot? unless it is an established fact that someone dies in every sweeps episode of Prison Break, you don't get to assume sh*t.
Your logic also relies on this:
"and, ***in case you didn't know***, November Sweeps started last Thursday."
Your excuse for putting a spoiler before the jump (in the title no less) even includes the possibility that people might not be aware that it is sweeps and thus automatically (according to you) must know someone will die. So according to you, so of the readers of this post won't have the information that will lead them to believe everyone will die while at the same time you are claiming you aren't spoiling anybody because everyone should already know.
This is ridiculous. If you posted this about Lost, I and many others would be furious.

Yeah, but nobody cares.
About this show, about the "spoiler," or, most importantly, about your little rant.

I'm here for you, man, specifically to give you an overinflated sense of self-importance.
Just tired of seeing people in this world getting pissed about spoilers. Put down the laptop, walk away from the desktop, or just plain stop visiting television blogs.

Yeah, you're right. I should just avoid the internet altogether until every episode of every tv show I watch has already aired.
That's a perfectly reasonable idea. I'm sad I didn't think of that before you pointed it out to me.
I firmly stand by my first impression of you. I wish you'd stay off my internet.

Okay even though it was before the jump it's not exactly a spoiler if you just watch a preview for the episode or read a description. A spoiler would be saying who was going to die not that someone is going to die since you probably already know if you watch the show and the preview for the next week.

Sorry to disappoint.
If you'd read back, it was not I that called someone a f'n idiot. Nor was I the one that called someone a moron based on their name.
My point was simply that the post that I replied to was an overreaction (also included was a little jab at a show that I used to enjoy). More so considering the ridiculousness with which so many people react to spoilers when they frequent sites that usually report spoilers.
Yes, I occasionally read spoilers that I had not intended to. But, instead of blaming other people, I generally blame myself for reading it. I generally find it easier to take responsibility rather than blaming others.
Not to worry though... While I have no intention of "staying off your internet," I'll make sure to steer clear of any conversations you're a part of.

If Michael is going to take it hard, I'd bet it'd be Sucre over Bellick. It can't be Sara--that would be dumb and though Prison Break has been dumb at moments in the past, this season has been fun with smart, if fast, storyline progression.
And I know people were kidding but the reality is this show won't be back for Season 5. This is it folks--enjoy the silliness while you can.

Vote: Sucre
I sure hope it is Bellick, but as others have commented, Bellick is selfish and not self-sacrificing. Also, the comment of Michael taking it hard leans more toward Sucre. Just 12 hours and we'll know.

Almost positive it's Bellick. Michael takes it hard because he always feels really guilty after he's wrung every last ounce of usefulness from someone and then they die or have their lives ruined. He's wicked sensitive, remember?
