The Obama campaign has put a line in the sand regarding which networks will broadcast its prime-time campaign advertisement air on Wednesday night. The campaign has passed on ABC, which will be showing a new episode of Pushing Daisies against the ad to be shown on CBS, NBC, Fox and Univision at 8 p.m.If the Obama campaign was going to pass on a network, you'd think it would be Fox since Fox News is the mortal enemy of his political party. What does the campaign have against the House of the Mouse? You can't get more American than Mickey.
Perhaps ABC has a large liberal demographic and the campaign is going for the swing vote rather than the sure thing. All this is only postulation, of course.
Mark my words: this is going to be a ratings bonanza for Pushing Daisies. And all the new viewers will probably lean politically to the right. To clinch it, they should have Bill O'Reilly as a guest star that night.

I think it was just a matter of ABC being the last one to bite on picking up the program. At this point, I don't know if they feel the need to be on all the networks anymore.
But of all the networks, Fox is the one he wants to be on most of all because they'll be broadcasting the World Series immediately following the Obama spot.

Good point about Fox, Bart. I did wonder why ABC was the only one not showing it and honestly don't understand how that works. Either way though, I'm glad because Pushing Daisies will still be on.

Crap...now I am torn between hoping that people watch the Obama ad, and decide to vote for him, and hoping that people tune out and watch "Pushing Daisies" instead, giving it great ratings, and ensuring I get to watch it for at least the rest of this season.
Hmmm....certain apocolypse, but with "Pushing Daisies", or possible avoidance of apocolypse, but no "Pushing Daisies". This is a harder choice than I thought...

If the only other network option besides Obama is Pushing Daisies, I can live with that. I want both of them to do well.

I think it is quite more likely that people who don't want to watch Obama will put on cable or turn off the tv rather than tuning in to Pushing Daisies. The show will be canceled soon.

Well, seeing as though I've already voted AGAINST Obama, and I'm a big Pushing Daisies fan, it's a no-brainer what I'll be watching tomorrow night.

I sometimes wonder what makes people like you tick, but I think that is just one of those questions that can not be answered. You certainly have balls, openly admitting how you voted against your interests, against your country, against your children's futures. I do wonder what they ever did to you, though.

Omega, you're living proof that the tiniest minds have the largest mouths. To be such a fool as to openly admit publicly that you consider that jug-eared, inexperienced snake-oil salesman to be nothing short of the messiah is jaw-droppingly shocking while at the same time being oddly amusing.
The irony is that all the things you mentioned about Adrienne voting against Nobama are just what'll happen if he gets elected. That is unless you consider a socialist state to be good for our interests, our country and our children. The Soviet Union would've loved you in the 70's.
I'm old enough to know better. You're just a young fool with more attitude than education, more mouth than mind. Like a bird or a monkey, easily swayed by shiny things.
Assignment for the day: Learn what "personal responsibility" means and stop wanting those of us who actually work hard to support your lazy ass. You can look up "fool", too. That one will be easy, just find your reflection.

Umm voting for McCain may in fact be voting against YOUR interests, but whomever I or Adrienne or anyone else votes for does it because we feel that person best aligns with OUR own interests not YOURS or anyone elses. So please we all have our opinions but there is no reason to pick on someone on a television site for their own political beliefs. It looks like you belong over at hate.com as well

While I do in fact worship at the temple of the messiah, I think Omega went a little too far there. Relax! It was an innocent comment by Adrienne and did not deserve you going all ex-POW temper tantrum on it.

Here's what happened:
Obam asked ABC and all the other networks for the airtime. Everyone else gave them the time, with the exception of Fox, which had to first shift the baseball game and talk with MLB about it. ABC at first didn't want to give the time because they had struggling shows that they wanted to give the extra audience. But after the shows did even worse last week, they changed their mind, but at that point Obama no longer wanted ABC. Don't know why, maybe Obama thinks that 3/4 + Univision, BET and all the news networks' coverage will be enough to saturate the the market and ABC simply won't make that big of a difference.

They don't "give" the airtime. He's paying for it.

Remember this is the same racist network that did not want the Cosby Show during the 1980's instead going with a show featuring Dick Van Dykes brother wich bombed out and the Cosby Show was a big success for NBC.
Let's be honest and call it what it is,
Racism in all forms still exist in this country and will continue to hold this country back while the rest of the world progresses and watch our slow demise.
We are many people , one nation.

What does Obama have to do with America? He opposes everything it stands for, so of course he hates Mickey Mouse.

I voted (McCain/Palin) & I like Pushing Dasies. I'm also a Phillies fan, so I'm annoyed to have to wait an extra 1/2 hour to see game 5 resumed for an infomercial. But, since I can also read, I will do that before the game resumes.

Good thing you can read, but if you couldn't then you should've voted for Nobama. If he wins somebody will come to your house after they get off work to read to you! Of course you'd have to wait for them to finish working all that overtime they'd need to put in just to make ends meet after Komrade Barry rapes them with taxes to give to fools like Omega.
