Joss Whedon blogs Dollhouse

DollhouseJoss Whedon has posted an update on the status of his new, upcoming show Dollhouse on his blog, Whedonesque. Basically, it's suffering from the "network interference syndrome" that has plagued so many other shows in the past and forced them to early cancellation.

The worst aspect of that particular syndrome is that when the network execs' ideas work, they take credit for practically the whole show. When they don't work, it was obviously a fault of the show which richly deserved cancellation in the first place.

I admit a little concern when production shut down on the show. But Joss has navigated the network executive waters before and has hopefully learned how to deal with it. Granted, expectations for anything Joss-produced are sky-high but since networks are investing more in existing shows due to the crappy economy, I'd like to think they'd give someone like Joss Whedon, who has a proven track of television success record a chance.
