Chelsea Lately is the late night talk show that never gets any attention. That's probably because it's on E! and that's probably a network that TV viewers don't think about when they think of late night television, but let's be honest, it's a lot better than Last Call with Carson Daly (plus it's on a lot earlier). And Chelsea Handler is a genuinely funny person. Her book of comic essays Are You There, Vodka? It's Me Chelsea is quite good, though I haven't read her first book about all of the one night stands she has had. Sounds funny though. She was also on Girls Behaving Badly, but we can forgive her for that.E! has been impressed with the ratings for Handler's show and they've given it a green light through 2009.
I've been thinking of adding Chelsea Lately to the late night talk show listings that I do every night. Is that something that you folks would be interested in?

So the fact that Chelsea is the girlfriend of E! president Ted Harbert has nothing to do with the renewal? I find that hard to believe.

But as JK said her Boyfriend/Boss clearly played a factor as to why her show has been renewed and she mostly has like c or d-list stars but some i've liked but others not so much.

I usually watch the round table every night, that can be very funny. She does have alot of C & D listers for the interviews, but Chelsea will come out and ask them anything which can be really funny.

I watch Chelsea Lately every night to wind down from the day. I didn't used to like her show, but I watched one show all the way through and now I can't stop. Her books are hilarious as well.
It's true about the C & D listers, but last night she had TI on the show as a guest and it was super funny. She has no filter, so it's really entertaining.

I forgot to mention she's also had on guests who should not even be considered "stars" like the kardashian sisters, the cast of 'the hills', tiffany pollard aka 'new york' and tila tequila.
