Zeljko Ivanek is one of those actors you know by the face but you probably don't know what his name is. You've seen him as a guest star on Lost, 24, The Practice, Oz, Bones, Shark, Numb3rs, John Adams, Law and Order, The West Wing, and a ton of other shows, plus he just won a Best Supporting Actor Emmy for his work on Damages. He was also the killer in the series premiere of The Mentalist. Now he's about to become The Hunter. That's the name of a new character that will be introduced midseason on NBC's Heroes. The Hunter will, presumably, hunt several of the heroes in the next chapter of the saga, "Fugitives." This chapter will start when the current chapter, "Villains," ends in episode 13. "Fugitives" will begin in January or February.
Ivanek is one of the great character actors on TV. He's really a chameleon, being comfortable in tough roles and also does a great job playing quiet, wimpy characters. That's why casting him in a role like The Hunter is so great. He's a seemingly meek guy who will probably be pretty hardcore. Now we just have to figure out which heroes he'll be hunting. I guess it all depends on which "side" the various heroes choose in the current chapter. I wonder if Sylar will ultimately become a good guy and do battle with Mr. Petrelli or will he go back to his evil ways?

I am really pleased with some of the choices the Hero's casting department has been making lately.

And this is because there is a serious lack of actors and talent on this show. Need just a bit more to digest.

Ivanek is a great actor--I've been a fan of his since "Homicide". But I'm not sure if even he can save the mess that "Heroes" has become. My interest in continuing with the show is so bad that I have 2 episodes on my TiVo that I haven't been able to bring myself to watch.

The Heroes casting department is doing a good job. You can't say that about ANY other department on Heroes, though.
As far as the glut of characters on Heroes, hopefully that will be fixed as Spidey stick some more in cocoons next week.

For some of us, Zeljko will always be Ed Danvers. I'm happy to see him getting long-overdue recognition.

Sylar has already become the "good guy" or at least as good as you can be when u've been "eating" brains to gain knowledge. They've been going towards that since the end of season one. Where have you been?
Oh and Mon nite's episode really kicked it up a few notches. You ppl really need to watch or stop but at least have an argument for complaining aside from "i didn't like this, but I havent watched it yet." You sound republicans.
