I would have to say a very solid no. What're they going to be? Travelling carnies that also solve crimes as a high-flying family? Or is it just going to be a Dawson's Creek-style deal, dealing with family issues as the carnies travel?

Grayson was nothing before his parents died and he became Robin. He was just a kid in an acrobat family. Who cares about this? Now, if you want to do a Nightwing show, and show him AFTER Batman, okay... I'm down.

To kind of mirror what Eugene and John both said "no" and there is no interesting story of Dick Grayson previous to the death of his family. You could make a series around Nightwing, who Dick grows up to be after leaving the mansion and getting older.

Obviously, there wouldn't be the kind of story CW is interested in telling there. They want people to feel like they know about the early days of characters. It gives you the impression you know everything a comic fan would... except that none of this stuff is canon.

Is there a way to make an interesting show about a circus focusing on acrobats where you know one will survive his family's tragic death? Absolutely. Will this be it? Probably not. Is it more likely to be a mesh of Dawson's Creek with a heavy handed dose of Batman foreshadowing? That's what I'm going to guess that they're going for.

This is their way of keeping the whole Smallville thing going but unlike Smallville the secret is out. We know we'll never get the things we actually want to see. The show will never end up with him teaming up with Bruce. Like Clark he'll miss the time he was supposed to begin wearing his costume and yet somehow be solving crimes during his teenage years. Comic book fans who gave Smallville a few years would likely give The Graysons, (which should really be called The Flying Graysons) a curious glance at best.

I would never watch 'The Greysons,' for the reasons JH mentioned. But, I would watch 'Greyson,' a show about Dick right after his parents die. How about a show surrounding the interim year where he has to live on the streets, run from the law/gangsters/a shadowy billionaire with a creepy interest in him, etc. before he finally hooks up with the Bats -

I like Freds idea of the circus coming to smallville but robin would have to be very young to put bruce at about clarks age.

but since robin has no "powers" and was really trained by bruce and thats when anything interesting happens for him.

there are probably lots of charaters they could follow in their early lives... but only if they were doing something.. interesting.

What's with that last sentence? Apparently you haven't been paying attention to the ratings because almost everything on The CW has been setting record ratings for the network so far this season. It's like the place as done a complete 180. I doubt anyone is about to pull the plug right now.

So help me god if they do this show and introduce Barbara Gordon.... just GRR!!! But they probably will in the first episode. I love that her and Dick hooked up later but come on that would just be stupid.
