(S07E05) It's time for the second week eliminations. The early week eliminations are always interesting times because, more often than not, the results are a little screwy. I'm reminded of past seasons that saw Jerry Springer, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Master P, to name a few, all hanging on far longer than their dancing abilities warranted. Would we see something similar tonight? The results, and a quick rundown of the results show performances, are after the jump.

The musical guest this week was Jessica Simpson. She did two songs, her current hit "Come On Over" and a cover of the Robbie Williams track, "Angels". It didn't do much for me. She doesn't have a very dynamic voice, and her stage performance was a little dull. All was not lost though. Her two songs paved the way for two really good dance performances. On the first song, she was joined by Pasha Kovalev and Anya Garnis. Many of you will recognize them from their time on So You Think You Can Dance, I'm sure. The second number featured Cheryl and Maks.
And that brings us to the results. In case you are tracking the order to try and uncover some secret method to the "no particular order" madness, here they are in the order they were saved from elimination. Toni & Alec, Rocco & Karina, Cody & Julianne, Brooke & Derek, Susan & Tony, Warren & Kym, Maurice & Cheryl, Lance & Lacey, Misty & Maks, Cloris & Corky.
Of course, that means that Kim & Mark have been knocked out of the competition. Based on the comments we've seen on the site, that's just the result a lot of you were looking for. I'm a little disappointed by it. For one, Cloris is great, but this really is beyond her capabilities. We all know what we are going to get from her next week. Kim, on the other hand, really did have potential. But then, there's the rub. She had potential, but she couldn't put it all together to deliver the performance I think she was capable of. Because of that, it's an understandable elimination.

Well, we can tell by your language that you are high class and therefore qualified to judge Kim. The reason people who use the language you do is because they are not intelligent enough to use good english.

I wish that I could see her potential, she just didn't have it. After three dances, it was just frustrating -- she seemed so disinterested, she either didn't practice, didn't want to be there, was shy -- but it was so obvious in her face and in her moves. It's just such a shame because mark is such a great choreographer.
Glad to see Rocco is still there -- he is amazing and I'm disappointed that the judges don't see that. He has got such screen presence and his dancing is great. Have you ever seen Karina so happy!. go Rocco!

There were a lot expected from Kim because Mark is a brilliant choreographer. But she put up a disappointing show which led to the exit.

and you do not think that programs like this are all a big joke anyway?
Get a grip, if you cannot enjoy a good laugh then stick to documentaries about disasters and global warming!

I totally agree. This is a dancing competition, not a comedy show. I am very disappointed this season.

I agree 100%. So does everyone I have talked to. Kim was no ball of fire, but Cloris is AWFUL. She is also rude, crude, and totally unacceptable. She is the same as Master P - taking the opportunity away from others who could get better. Come on voters - stop voting for someone just because.........

I so totally agree that cloris should have been gone from the kit go. She is a great actress and i do like her but she cannot dance. Ted mcginley had potential and should have remained a bit longer for a chance to see. Some of these people remain when there are better dancers trying.Even jeffery had potential better than cloris.

I agree whole heartily! Cloris, is a joke, and a bad one at best. Bawdy, and certainly not sexy, even if she wants to flaunt her boobs!
She is tarnishing and trashing the show.

I can see why Cloris is still there. It's to keep senior viewers "turning the dial" to view the show. It's the same reason that George Hamilton lasted so long last season. Don't get upset by it, just enjoy her antics. Kim did deserve to go. I still can't understand how she got famous...? There seem to be a lot of ladies that fit the same bill around these days.

Cloris has to go next week. They should never have put her on in the first place. Personally, I don't think she is as funny as she tries to be, and I hate it when she begs people to vote for her. I realize she is old, and I guess she is good for her age, but people that deserve to stay in a little longer are going to be leaving if we continue to maake a place for her. Sorry Cloris, it's adios!

It's is very clear. People who watch all these dumb reality shows, lack in any substance and have no lives. Try watching more news, so you can have an intelligent conversation with another human rather than being upset who was voted off any of these moronic shows.

Leroy,
Did it ever occur to you that some people DO watch the news, and DO have intelligent conversations with other humans? Some might just want a BREAK from it all by watching this show, for ENTERTAINMENT purposes? Stop telling others what to do and live your own life, there, hoss.
