McBush has decided to go to Mississippi for the debate, even though no Bailout deal is yet done and he said he wasn't leaving until a bailout deal was finished. He is truly a maverick.

I have high hopes for Lehrer to knock both of these consummate politicians off kilter, and actually get some unvarnished truth for once.

The Truth is out there!!! (Mulder '08!!)
The debate was disappointing. Obama should have attacked more, and should have specifically challenged McCain's "Obama doesn't understand" line of reasoning on apparently everything. He needs to get the fucking marbles out of his mouth and minimize greatly the pauses and "uh", "uhm", etc.
I'm one of those people that thinks Obama is going to lose, (due to those who just can't seem to bring themselves to vote for him on election day, even though they say they agree with him in polls) unless he is at least 7 or 8 points ahead before election day. So right now, I view him as behind, and he needs to change the game. He didn't do it tonight, at all. McCain had his best debate performance of his career, and Obama was just, "alright". He is going to lose if he doesn't wise up, and attack McCain in all of his many and varied points of weakness.

Well thank you for the debate recap. I had tickets to Michael Ian Black stand up show so I missed the debate and I'm out of tapes to record stuff. Plus a friday night is a stupid time slot. What better time to air an important presidential debate that people should watch than on a night that most people are not home.

I was wondering about the Friday timing too. Although CNN, MSNBC, and FOX probably replayed the debate this weekend.
All the other debates (The vice presidential debate Thursday, the town hall debate the following Tuesday, and the final, domestic policy debate the following Wednesday) will be during the week, so hopefully the audiences will be nice and large, and Obama will have sharpened his game significantly.

Waiting for Jesus Christ to return? You'll have better luck tracking down the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, or Santa Clause.
