Grey's Anatomy is adding another bi-curious female doctor into the Hahn-Torres fray -- and it looks like she'll be played Melissa George. EW's Michael Ausiello reports that George, best known for her role as butt-kicking bad girl on Alias, is in final negotiations to play "an intern with, um, an open mind toward sexuality."She's being positioned as a possible love interest for one of Seattle Grace's other two female-loving females, Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) or Erica Hahn (Brooke Smith), who first locked lips in last year's season finale.
No word on exactly how long she'll stick around, but EW's sources suggest it'll be a while.
TV Casting News
Danneel Harris cast in 'How I Met Your Mother' (CBS)
She'll play the (very hot) sister to Ted's fiancee Stella (Sarah Chalke) on a episode to air during November sweeps. Another conquest for Barney? Perhaps. But we wouldn't be shocked if she somehow comes between the (possible) future Mr. and Mrs. Moseby.

George Clooney NOT cast in 'ER' (NBC)
Despite how badly showrunner David Zabel wants to page Dr. Ross back to 'ER' for it's 15th and final season, George Clooney still says thanks ... but no thanks.

Mary McDonnell cast in 'Grey's Anatomy' (ABC)
The 'Battlestar Gallactica' star is in final negotiations to join the medical drama for a three- to five- episode arc this fall/winter.

Scott Wolf cast in 'CSI: NY' (CBS)
The 'Party of Five' alum joins Chris Daughtry and Rumer Willis in the show's 100th episode. They all play people named Mac Taylor -- yep, a name shared by show lead Gary Sinise. Wouldn't be so bad, except there's a serial killer who's decided he doesn't really like Mac Taylors, so he's offing them one by one.

William Fichtner cast in 'Night & Day' (TNT)
He's signed on as the lead -- an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms -- in '24' creator Joel Surnow's pilot. Don't worry, though -- there are currently no plans to kill of Fichtner's Mahone on 'Prison Break.' Fichtner will only star on the show should 'Prison' not return for a fifth season.

Anthony Edwards cast in 'ER' (NBC)
Dr. Mark Greene is returning to 'ER,' via flashback. Anthony Edwards was killed off the long-running hospital drama back in 2002 (it was a tumor), but will make an appearance in the show's final season in a scene with new regular Angela Bassett. Sadly, it seems George Clooney won't join him.

Oprah Winfrey cast in '30 Rock' (NBC)
She'll appear as herself on an upcoming episode of the Emmy-winning sitcom.

Seth Green cast in 'My Name Is Earl' & 'Heroes' (NBC)
On 'Earl,' he'll play Buddy Zaks, a former Make-a-Wish child whose dream of starring in an action movie was ruined by Earl. And he and buddy Breckin Meyer are in for a multi-episode stint as a pair of comic book geeks on 'Heroes.'

Lauren Conrad cast in 'Greek' (ABC Family)
The leading lady of MTV's 'The Hills' will give the accepted definition of "acting" a go -- though she won't have to stretch much -- when she plays herself in a dream sequence for 'Greek's' second season finale on Oct. 28.

Joss Stone cast in 'The Tudors' (Showtime)
The British soul singer takes on her biggest acting gig to date, playing Henry VIII's plain-looking fourth wife, Anne of Cleves, on the upcoming season of Showtime's racy royal drama.

Melissa George played Vaughn's wife, not Sidney's sister.

You mean Michael Vartan's wife, while Sydney was missing. Or best known for Thieves with John Stamos

It's really disgusting, that's not an open mind, it's an irrational mind, pushing sexuality everywhere on TV shows just sucks.

I just started watching the show because my brother said this was a good show. Well, in my opinion, it was pretty good most of the time. I noticed it got a lot of nominations and awards without all the "exploring the sexuality". Too bad the writer's are too stupid to be able to write a good story line without sex being the "plot". The fall season is loaded with good shows coming in and returning. I will set my TIVO on something else. I did watch it for the characters and how they related to dr/patient, the diseases and traumas.
Now it is like everyone else. "Hey, mack, uhhhh, can you get us another lesbian and make her a man who does not know she's is a transvestite and has not kissed a man or a woman, but make her a a ex-priest too!!!"

I have been watching Greys since the beginning but won't be watching it any longer. You have gone to far with the explicit sex. Too bad it was a great program.

I agree with Mary Louise. I was going to stop watching but decided to give them another week or two to end the Hahn/Torres relationship but if the way to end it is just adding someone else I'm done and I have been a faithful fan from the beginning. I love Private Practice, I hope they don't screw it up too!

Don't the producers know that Grey's tv ratings are dropping? Why not bring back Isaiah Washington?

People...lessons are to be learned from all of humanity. Repressed issues like being gay/bi being mentioned in the forefront are no different than the interpersonal relationships 'McDreamy', Meredith, McD's ex, the mysogynistic attitude of doctors, the nurse drama NcDreamy had a stint with, Meredith's sister face episode to episode. Clinical and interpersonal relationships, as well as life lessons(i.e. professional competition, marriage, divorce, deceit, homosexuality, clinical decisions, are all addressed in this interesting show. Roll with the punches! It's a drama with life lessons. Take the conventional with the unconventional!

(Sigh!) I stopped watching Grey's long ago. After they added lesbianism,I gave the show up. That was the last straw for me. Actually, the show hasn't been any good since Washington was fire.

More exploitation from Grey's. Really? Why not have a non-heterosexual male? Because that's not as marketable.
