Quick chat with Jordan Belfi of Entourage

The name Jordan Belfi might not mean much to you, but if you watch Entourage, you absolutely know Adam Davies. And, if Belfi's done his job right, you probably really hate the guy.

As the best-dressed nemesis on TV, Davies is the super-agent foil to most of Ari Gold's (Jeremy Piven) plans and schemes. And in a particularly conniving episode (airing Sun., Sept. 21 at 10PM), the Davies/Gold smack down reaches new heights. Or lows, depending on how you see it.

Belfi talked to us about his character's underhanded ways, his most devoted fans and why watching Gordon Ramsay vomit means must-see-TV in his house.

Davies relishes in outwitting all of Ari's mischievous shenanigans -- do people assume you're just like him?
I don't think they feel I'm just like him, but it is constantly amazing to me how people really recognize that character! And love that character. It's really fun to see Ari get ruffled, when he's in trouble or something's under his skin. And Davies is just one of those characters who can get under his skin and make him flounder a little bit.

Episode three is really Davies' shining moment -- are you guys having as much fun as it looks like you are?
Since season one, when I came on ... I mean, you laugh out loud when you read the scripts. You do kind of become like little kids again. When we had the table read, Jeremy looked at me like, "Have you read three yet?" There's still that kind of excitement. That's what makes the show so good.

What's it like having almost all of your scenes opposite Jeremy Piven?
For the first couple of seasons, when I became Drama's agent, all my stuff was with Kevin Dillon. And once the end of season two happened, where I double-cross Ari and get him fired from the agency, it started that kind of hateful nemesis relationship. Then it was like a whole new thrill -- Jeremy has an intensity and an energy that forces you to up your game.

What role do people recognize you from the most?
It's definitely Entourage. You know, last season I was on Moonlight on CBS and people were devoted to that show. Just because it was gothic and supernatural and that whole vampire world ... it sort of lends itself to that kind of fandom. So people who were really devoted to that show recognize me a lot, but the past couple of seasons or so, it's definitely been Entourage.

What's your favorite guilty pleasure TV show?
Oh man, do I admit this? Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsay. There's something about him ... as corny as it sounds, I saw it by accident once and it happened to be a really great episode, and he really seemed to affect somebody's life and kick them into gear. But there was also an episode where he ate the food and literally ran away vomited -- like, could that possibly be real? [Laughs]
