Attention to Hart Hanson and Barry Josephson, the creators of Bones: your search for a new intern for Temperance is over. I know I know, you wanted Dr. Brennan to have a number of interns over this season so she could find a suitable replacement for Zack Addy, who went a bit batty in the season finale. But, why waste any more of the show's budget when you exampled the perfect replacement in this past week's episode.
Michael Badalucco, who portrayed Scott Starret -- Bones' oldest intern, is the man for the job. For one thing, he is the total opposite of Zack...friendly, outgoing, worldly. He is also a near perfect fit for the Squints who are missing something now that Bones spends most of her time in the field with Booth. Think about it: Cam is the organizer and the bureaucrat; Hodgins is now the "geek" of the group since Zack left; Angela is the free spirit. Having Starret added to the team would give the Squints a calming, fatherly and well-rounded figure who could be their stabilizing source.
Plus, let's face it, Michael Badalucco is just so cuddly. Just like he was in The Practice. So, what do you think? Am I way off here or would he be your choice for Zack's replacement?

I agree 100 per cent! When I saw the episode, I was struck by how well his character fit the ensemble of the show. He was likable, not as outrageously self-centered as the others, and didn't project awkwardness. I wanted him to stay on.

I agree that this actor in this role seems to be a good fit. I really enjoyed seeing how he played the character. He could even be a mentor, with all the life experience he seems to have and the demeanor that he presents.
I'd really like to see them stop with the rotating grad students (that kind of junk got old on House last season) and just go with this guy.

One thing Bones seems to do well is integrating new characters. I hope this intern sticks around for a while too.

Really? When they added the female boss that was handled terrible, plus I still think she is useless.

I don't watch Bones, but I still somehow feel confident in saying that Michael Badalucco would end up being the best thing about Bones just like he was the best thing about The Practice. Heck, I might even start watching Bones if they keep him on.

I agree - Michael Badalucco was good, although a little "boring" for this show of strong individuals. But what we really need is a recap of last week's show - The Finger in the Nest!

Yup, keep him on the show. Not only does the character fit but he seems to have great chemistry on screen with the other actors.

As the episode was playing, I said, "He's good!" I was surprised that he was not returning. I do hope they choose him and choose him fast.

I didn't miss Zack this episode, he was perfect. He fit in with the group, but not too much, and was just the best. I don't think anyone can top him.

I agree 100%. It is just too bad that they sent him off to a dig. We are going to at least have a couple more newbies.
However, I can only hope that when the dust clears they bring back "Scott"

I have to agree with everyone. I really liked watching the way he played against all the characters, especially Hodgins. There is potential there for a very close relationship, but one that is totally different from Hodgins' relationship with Zack.

I agree. I was thinking the same thing as I watched. It took me about 10 minutes to remember where I had seen him last. It's been seven years since I watched The Practice. I'd definitely like to see him as a regular.

I don't get to watch Bones as often as I'd like, so I could be completely off-base, but I had this weird feeling that Scott might turn out to be the real Gormagon....'cause they didn't catch him last season, did they?

Back on the subject, I loved him too!!

Uh, so where's the review? We get this post before the episode review?
Either something is wrong with my computer, or TVS has basically posted like 1 review since Monday. No Bones, Fringe, 90210, or a ton of others.

I'll give you a 90210 review...
"The fact this is the highest rated show on The CW says a lot about the network". There is your review.

NO! He was great in the last episode, and maybe one more, but his character is boring! Not to mention the 'having worked every job under the sun' angle has already worn thin in the one episode.

I used to love this actor on The Practice, and I really do think he would make a solid addition to the series. I'm just getting back into Bones after being away for a season, and I have no idea what happened to her former intern. This is me going to read up on it now! I have some catching up to do if I plan to keep up with the series again.
