Get ready for more bleeps and blurs on FOX.FOX is so impressed with Gordon Ramsay and the ratings for both Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares that they've given the green light for a third series from the chef. And if I understand the concept for this series, then I think this is the start of Ramsay's demise.
The new show is going to be based on a British show that Ramsay does called Man Camp, which I've never seen but is described as "a boot camp for men whose ladies are slightly concerned about how feminine they're becoming." Seriously? That's the premise of the show? Maybe if the men are becoming too feminine it's the women who should be sent to the boot camp.
Honestly, it's moves like this that make fans of celebrity chefs start to dislike them. It's the same thing over on Food Network, when a cook or host you like starts to do too many things or does something completely out of their element or just plain silly. Why can't Ramsay just keeping doing cooking/food-oriented shows?
Ramsay has also signed on for two more seasons of Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares and will host a live special for FOX too.

I know for a fact that Brawny Paper Towels did this already. You had to watch all the episodes online and I have to admit, I did.
They were making the men into "Brawny" men, like the guy on the paper towel roll. I believe the host looked just like the Brawny guy.
In each episode the men were given a challenge, and it all took place in the "wilderness." At the end, the wives came and they cooked them a fancy dinner and repented for being such jerks to them....It was like Survivor meets Nanny 911....:)

To be fair, Man Camp hasn't even started in the UK yet. But yes, it doesn't sound that great. I'm surprised Gordon hasn't just reworked "The F Word" for the US (it's a food version of Top Gear, basically). That would go down quite well. But I have heard he'll be doing a live "cookalong" for the US -- which was a successful one-off show a few months ago here in the UK, where he helped Britons cook a three-course meal on live TV and internet streaming. People were asked to download the recipes, buy the ingredients, get their friends/family round, log their details on the web (so you can see other cookers on a Google Map-style chart), etc. Be interesting to see if interactive cookery can work in a country with more than one timezone, too.

When I read the title in my RSS I was hoping it would have been "The F Word" the show isn't that bad and I've followed it for a bit now. It would have been a nice change of pace as well. =/

Gordon,
I've been watching you from the beginning. I have a place that you might light to check out.
It's a brand new Italian restaurant, only a couple of months old. What makes it different is one of the ladies that owns it is a Cordon Blue Chef teacher. She has mostly chef interns working in her place. This is her first restaurant. I'd love to know what you think.
It's called: Assaggia @ 38 S. Weber Rd. Romeoville, Illinos 60446.
Let me know what you think!!! Anna

Hello Chef Ramsey...I am one of the owners Anna wrote about. One of us was a Le Cordon Bleu Instructer for 5 Yrs. Here in Chicago and I was a student of hers. I'm Italian and She's Irish. We put our heads together and opened up a Italian Restaurant in Romeoville, Il. We opened two months ago and put everything including our home and retirement fund on the line. Everyone raves about the food and we have several regular customers...but we have days that dip from busy to dead. Contact me and we will chat with you our dilemma.
