I have a problem. Well, I actually have many problems, but none of them pertaining to this site. What I am talking about is an issue I have with a rating given to Denny Crane in his duties as a lawyer. Okay, I see you're confused (don't ask me how I can see you. It's just one of my superpowers), so let me pontificate further.
Over at Avvo.com, which allows users to search for and rate real-life lawyers, there is a profile of Boston Legal's Denny Crane. Smack dab in the middle of this profile is the rating given to Denny for his experience and professional conduct. For experience he is given three points out of five. This seems weird, considering he's been an attorney since the late 1950s. Yet, it's reasonable given his most recent cases. What really bothers me is his professional conduct rating: five points out of five.
Huh? Has the person who created this fictional file actually seen Boston Legal? Denny is one of those guys who lost that barricade in his brain that stops him from saying the things he actually thinks about. He has turned off so many people with his racial, sexual and derogatory comments I'm surprised that he hasn't been asked to cash in his share of Crane, Poole & Schmidt.
Other than that, the Avvo profile is pretty interesting (though a bit sparse). His 'About Me' information is amusing enough, with the statement that he is a living legend despite his age, declining memory, and the fact that his "penis only works on medication." Also listed are a few of his most recent case highlights, including Wiccans & Christians Vs. Halloween. By the way, a cursory search on Avvo did not produce any additional attorneys from the famed Boston law firm.

That is almost as bad as an article last year that said Denney only made like $300,000 a year when it's clear he makes well over a million.

OK Denny Crane lovers - if you'd like to update Denny's and Alan's profile yourselves, just let me know. I'd love to have some die hard fans rewrite his profile (and all of the BL profiles if you are interested) as you see fit. You have my email - I'd love to hear back from you.
