Hey, look! Labor Day weekend marathons!

ScrubsLabor Day marks the end of summer (yeah, don't tell me summer ends later in September, if it's Labor Day and the kids are back in school, summer is over), and you could spend the weekend at the beach, having a barbecue, or doing something athletic outside. Or, you could stay in all weekend on your couch and watch a TV marathon! Here's a list of some marathons you can see this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Saturday, August 30

  • At 6am, TCM starts a marathon of Katharine Hepburn movies.
  • At 7, History Channel has a marathon of Ax Men.
  • At 9, USA has a Starter Wife marathon.
  • Also at 9, Sci-Fi has a marathon of monster movies, including Carnosaur, Reptilian, Beneath Loch Ness, Eye of the Beast, King of the Lost World, and Black Swarm.
  • At 10, Bravo has a Shear Genius marathon.
  • At 11, History Channel has a bunch of Ice Road Truckers episodes.
  • At 11:30, Discovery Kids has a marathon of Flight 29 Down episodes.
  • At 2pm, Spike has a CSI marathon.


Sunday, August 31

  • At 6am, TCM starts a marathon of Spencer Tracy movies.
  • At 8, Fox Reality Channel has an Amazing Race marathon.
  • At 3pm, G4 has a Cops marathon.
  • At 5, AMC has a marathon of the second season of Mad Men (followed at 10 by a new episode).
  • At 6, Bravo has a Law and Order: CI marathon.
  • Also at 6: The N has a marathon of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide episodes.
  • At 9, the ultimate marathon starts: The Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon (check local listings).

Monday, September 1

  • At 6am, TCM has a marathon of courtroom flicks.
  • USA has a Monk marathon at 6.
  • At 8, solve mysteries with Jessica Fletcher on a Murder, She Wrote marathon on Hallmark Channel.
  • Also at 8: Sci-Fi has a Star Trek: TNG marathon.
  • At 9, GSN has a Press Your Luck marathon.
  • The Closer marathon starts at 9 on TNT.
  • Travel Channel has an Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations marathon at 9.
  • At 10, TBS has a marathon of Tyler Perry's House of Perry episodes.
  • At noon, Food Network has several episodes of Unwrapped.
  • There's an Army Wives marathon on Lifetime at noon.
  • Also at noon: A&E has a CSI: Miami marathon.
  • At 2pm, National Geographic Channel has a Dog Whisperer marathon.
  • At 3, Bravo has a Project Runway marathon.
  • At 4, TV Land has a Scrubs marathon.
