I'm looking forward to seeing how it compares to the books! Unfortunately, I don't have Showtime at school, so I'll have to wait until Thanksgiving to watch the DVRed episodes at home.

I'm looking forward to Anna Paquin, of course...but what I'm MOST looking forward to is the chance for vampire show to really shine in the dialog and graphic visuals department. Being on HBO allows for much for freedom with certain things that tend to be associated with vampires that usually have to be dulled down for any attempt at a TV show. It will be interesting to see if they keep up the same level of profanity/nudity/violence as the pilot.
Not that I think it's necessary for a vampire show to contain profanity/nudity/gore/etc......it just frees up the writers when those things are appropriate, rather than have to find ways to dilute it into a TV friendly state.

I'm hoping they get to the Fangtasia folks sooner rather than later. The contrast between Bill and Eric, and the great cast of characters there.
And Anna.
