(S01E10) "I'd rather lick money." - Lacey Thornfield
As exciting as the idea of Lacey having a sexy dream is, the feeling was immediately counteracted when she revealed that the dream involved Pip. The saving grace is that anyone who took Psych 101 in college could figure out that Pip was just a substitution for The Middleman. The uniform was a dead giveaway.
One thing that keeps me watching this show is the introduction of new characters that inhabit Wendy's life. Meeting Noser's roommate Anvil was very cool. I don't know if he's an artist like most of the other residents of the illegal sublet, but if he is, I really want to see his work.
It was nice that they paid homage to Buffy right away. That way we could all get over the similarities and get on with lamenting the loss of Joss Whedon on television. I'm sure I'm not the only one who took a moment to reflect on the awesome puppet-themed Angel episode.
It should come as no surprise that I am overjoyed to see Wendy taking advantage of the fashion freedom that was granted to her last week. Her wardrobe this week said "I'm here to get some work done, but afterwards, I'm ready to play."
I forgot how much I missed Steve Valentine until I saw him tonight. He was one of the best parts of Crossing Jordan and it's a wonder that he hasn't been cast in another series since then. Too bad his screen time was so limited. I would have loved seeing him work Vladdy for the entire episode.
Once again, the show delivers a lot of great references. While I have to admit, I had to do some research on John Seward, it only made it that much cooler.
Another all too brief appearance were those of the Lacey and Middleman puppets. They looked like the marionettes from Thunderbirds or Fireball XL5.
This was a pretty awesome episode and the bittersweet pullout was the perfect scene to end on.

Yes you were not alone in thinking Angel puppets. My husband looked at me and said, "What is it with you and your Vampire Puppets."
I totally loved the goofiness of this episode which balances out the potentially dark.
Plus Noser having a secret life as a Dummy Act! Go Noser! I wish we could have seen more of his act.
They did a really good job of having Tyler out of the scene so we didn't bring up that true love question, plus sparks fly when Lacy and Pillow Lips are in the same room.
Top it off with Ida and her perpetual tormenting of Dub-Dub and I went to bed giddy and satisifed.
Now just to find out who the other woman in MM's life is.

I am left wondering who the other woman in the Middleman's life is. The way he said it as he looked at WW made me think it was her; but then, a man who is as 'square' as he is, I think it's his mom.

Well, lets see... there are two periods of life from which MM could have another true love. The first is is pre-Middle life in all form... so high school sweetheart or someone he met when he was a Navy Seal, etc.
The other time would be during his middleman in training period of life. I'm guessing his Middleman was a woman. He seems to always dive into his Middleman duties after an encounter with Lacey and that says to me it has something to do with the job. Maybe he met and lost her due to the job.
We're getting close to the end here. Two episodes left with no word on this show continuing and it looks to find a place on dvd shelves next to Arrested Development and Firefly. Unless ABC Fam did the right thing and told Javi that this series is over finish it up... That leaves no real time to find out what happened to WW's father, for MM and Lacey to get together or finally find out if there's a song that can actually Stump the Band. Not to mention never meeting Dr. Barbara Thornfield MD PhD; WW's mother who I imagine is a piece of work and whether Tyler and WW ever work out...
I only hope that ABC Fam gives this show another run with better promotion and maybe something complimentary to it so its not so out of place. I'm not a Kyle XY fan but its a popular sci-fi show and that could work. Maybe even get it onto another network but I'm sure Disney has a former Lost writer like Javi locked up.

It's like middleman's favorite tune says "Clean livi'n was his credo and Justice was his bride"

these was my favorite episode of the run, these is just a great show, and i'm very nervous about it's future, and really intriged about the other true love of the MM, i'm with other posters above and go with the previous MM, she has to be a woman, and i don't think she is dead..., hope we get the answer before it's ends.

There's nothing I can really say about this episode that hasn't been said about it already, but I must add my 2 cents on Anvil -- I hope we get to see more of him, because he was hot. Sorry. I'm shallow.

Um...have you not heard about dollhouse?
And I'm pretty sure wendy isn't the other love the middleman was talking about because last week (or was it the week before) he told Ida that wendy was like his sister. That'd just be gross if she's who he was talking about.
Is next week the last episode? Too sad. I hope ABC Family gives it another season, at least. It's too good to just fade away. And either way (canceled or not), I hope it's not too long a wait for the dvds.

Gene Roddenberry always said that his leading ladies' costumes in the original Star Trek were designed to look like they were ready to slip off at any moment. Well, it took this week's sexy attire on Dub-dub at the beginning of the episode to top her last week's Emma Peele catsuit: it was designed to look like her naked body could easily be visualized under it. It almost was better than actually seeing her nude!
