It's another manic Monday in Happy Hamster Land, otherwise known as the Big Brother 10 house. Well, to be honest, Monday isn't the most manic day in the house. All that happens on Mondays is the Power of Veto meeting. The competition itself was held at about midnight on Friday night. Even though it won't be shown on television until the Tuesday show, it's old news for us live feeds fiends. For extreme show spoilers, read on past the jump!
Those who have been following the reports know that Dan won the Power of Veto. But, that sly vixen Renny has been holding out to everyone who she'd put up if Dan decides to save one of the nominees. April has been at Dan, as has Ollie, to try to get him to save her. She knows that she's the target and the veto save would be the only way she'll remain in the house after Thursday. April and Ollie were even willing to try to bribe Dan with $1,000 of the BB gold bar money April won. Jerry has worked Dan in his own way -- apologizing for calling him Judas.
But it's pretty much to no avail. What Keesha, Dan, and Memphis would want to happen is for Ollie and April to be on the block. Renny isn't going to put Ollie on the block. Now, I don't know why, but she really has a soft spot for him. He's played such a non-game other than being April's flying monkey that I'm not sure why Renny feels the way she does. She's actually playing things very shrewd by first not telling anyone in advance who she was going to nominate, and now letting them worry that Memphis will go on the block if a nominee is saved. By doing that, she's all but forcing Dan to not use the veto unless he wants to take the chance. Michelle, Keesha, and Ollie are safe with Renny as far as going on the block and the veto holding saves Dan.
Dan isn't a fool. Although Memphis was extremely upset with Jerry's Judas comments, Dan takes things like that in stride (and is the better man for it, methinks). I don't think Dan really trusts his place with anyone in the house, but numbers alone will keep him with Renny, Keesha, and Memphis. Michelle has been scheming with Ollie and April as of late, not a wise move for her. Renny likes Michelle to a point, but she doesn't trust her the way she trusts Keesha. Renny is more leery of Memphis than she is of Dan, but Dan ain't no Keesha in her corner either. But Dan made the best move for Renny and for himself -- he did NOT use the Power of Veto today. So, it's still April and Jerry on the block and it's likely to be a 3-2 or 4-1 vote to evict April on Thursday.
In house crumbs:
- Michelle is getting upset because Dan hasn't told her what he's doing. She wanted information on whether Jerry offered him a deal and info on the gold bars offer and he really didn't tell her much at all.
- Renny once again assured Jerry he won't be going home this week.
- Memphis breathed a sigh of relief when Dan didn't use the veto. Although he and Dan have an alliance of sorts, Dan didn't even tell him if he was going to use it or not.
- April told Ollie that she's going to tell production not to give Keesha any more alcohol because she's an alcoholic. Oh ... and not only does she have this thing about being prettier than Keesha, she also thinks she's better spoken. I'll admit Keesha's high-pitched voice and loudness grate me, but as far as proper English and "well-spoken," they're about even in my book.
- This morning Keesha told Michelle that if they're given alcohol tonight, she thinks she'll skip it.
- Ollie claimed he didn't sleep well last night because Michelle put Holly the stuffed dog on his back. I'm sure the weight was a burden to bear, eh?
- April thinks that Dan and Memphis would take Jerry to the end because they know they can beat him.
- Dan must have mentioned in his speech that he was offered money to use the veto because Memphis and Michelle were talking about it after the meeting. From what I've seen/heard, the only one he mentioned it to was Renny.
- Michelle told Renny that April is telling her how much Jerry is hanging out with Memphis and Dan lately.
- April and Ollie planned for their live happily ever after days after Big Brother.
- Dan trapped a praying mantis under a plastic jar upsetting both Keesha and Jerry. They thought it would die from the heat. After he let it go, Jerry made a big deal about how bad Dan was to trap it. So Jerry poured pool water with chlorine over it to make it feel better.
- I don't think anyone this season is a Mensa member.

It seemed the power went to Renny's head as HOH this week. Last week she was all about getting April and Ollie on the block together.
Well, I for one, would welcome this week: double eviction!! Get rid of the dirty old man and the sl*t.

Correct me if I'm wrong (because I could well be), but a "double eviction" doesn't mean that the two houseguests currently nominated would leave. Don't they usually have the vote, evict someone, play for HOH, and then the new HOH is told to immediately choose someone for eviction? If that's the case, it would all come down to who the new HOH is, right?

D - If memory serves, they've never evicted both current nominees in a double eviction. Lately they've referred to it as a Fast Forward. The show is at a mad pace: eviction, HOH, immediate nominations, eviction, HOH. I recall some seasons ago they had the double eviction not as a fast forward, but a second eviction on Sunday night so it was two evictions within four days or so, then another later in the week.

Hi Jackie. I really appreciate what you do here, and I look forward to your live feed reports every day.
That said, I just wanted to suggest that you edit out the "flying monkey" comment above. Though I am personally not offended by it, I can guarantee there will be folks who are.
Thanks again for all that you do.

That's merely a reference to the Wicked Witch of the West (April) and her flying monkeys doing her dirty work. Nothing racial is intended in the comment, if that's the offense you think people will take. Flying monkeys come in many colors -- all they need is a wicked witch.

Dan told Memphis and Renny April offered him $5,000.00 dollars not $1,000.00...I like Renny and I dont believe she has let the HOH give her the big head like it did April.

Thanks so much Jackie, you do such a great job...I think you are spot on with the mensa reference....
I think Renny did a good job making her choices, and if Keesha or Dan win HOH, maybe Jerry will finally ..slither off?

April is soooo conceited in every way. She really should tone down the blonde and cut bangs to hide that forehead. Also, she acts so phony in the diary room. Yuk!

April and Ollie are lying to Jerrys face telling him that April didnt offer Dan any money...they are trying to stir it any way they can. They both are such liars. Jerry is so gullible.

I think Renny used her HOH position the best anyone has all season, because she made her OWN decision and didn't do anyone else's bidding. That's how it is supposed to be used! I like the fact that she didn't let some of them feel too comfortable.

Now that I've had a few days to digest her non-nomination of Ollie, it makes sense to me. Get April out and see what Ollie does. Is he loyal to Renny for not putting him up and potentially sending him out of the house? Does he play the game harder and keep Renny in his corner?
She couldn't get them both out, so just target the one the house doesn't like most and draw the other one in. He's gonna need somebody after she leaves and Renny is in the perfect position to take him in and turn him against whomever she wants. Essentially, he goes from being April's flying monkey to hers!
If that's truly her line of thinking it's BRILLIANT!

Jackie, you mentioned that April thought that Dan or Memphiswould take Jerry to the final two because they could beat him. If they were smart they would do that.
Everybody in the house can't stand him so no one would vote to give him the $500,000.
The chances that Jerry would win an HOH are very slim so they wouldn't have to worry about him nominating them. They could also make some kind of deal.
If I was in the house, I would keep Jerry in the house and use him to get to the final two. Even though I can't stand him.

Renny not telling anyone who she would put up in place of a POV usage was a great move, but I don't think she did a good job otherwise. She essentially managed to give her supporters pause to worry about her while not really getting anything but possibility out of a connection with Ollie.
April needs to take a flying leap.

Thanks, Jackie, for all you do.
I just wish Renny would have put April & Ollie, just to see how fast April would turn on him. And I want April gone; with the colonel there, there's always a chance they'd vote him out instead of 'miss perfect.' I can't believe it when she says things like 'Keesha is jealous of me because I'm prettier' (in what paralell universe?). And "I'm such a nice person". Who says stuff like that?! (I bet Hitler tho't he was a nice person.)
