Seth Green huh? He is the king of guest spots these days. I don't mind him joining the cast of Lost I just hope his character won't be uber annoying as per usual. I don't know, maybe my view of him is just tainted by his appearances on entourage and That 70's Show

I stopped watching in S2 because there were too many characters and because the stories were ridiculous, so it makes no difference to me!

Ummm... because two new little guest cameos are announced you wonder if the show is going to die a horrible death? If anything, it'll be because the current cast and writers are iffy. Is it just me, or do the villains suck once you find out who they are? And all the characters are kind of... idiots. Not I.Q. wise, but they all make really dumb decisions. HRG used to be immune to this, but he was largely neutered last season.

Seth Green playing a character congruent with his personality will probably work out well. His lighthearted tone will also bring the series back to its original more wide-eyed tone.

Heroes has its problems when the writers/Jeph Loeb go not enough Batman and a little too much Fallen Son: The Death of Captain America. Seth Green should add more of the Batman-y feel to things. (IE, by extensively revealing your characters thoughts, Mr. Loeb, you already make us relate to them, creating a sense of drama. When you add more situational drama, it becomes like a weak soap opera. Stop it in Heroes and stop it in Ultimates 3!)

I don't see what the big deal in introducing new characters is. Before a season starts, announcements that new characters are coming on board, on Heroes, Lost, etc., are usually met with complaints that there are too many characters and there won't be enough focus on the more popular ones.

Usually these new characters are only brought on for short runs. Maybe a 3 or 4 episode arc. They aren't usually main characters and aren't put in to water down the cast, but rather to enhance the plot lines of the main characters.

I welcome Green and Meyer to the cast.

If your problems are with Seth Green's casting and/or you don't watch the show any more, you've got priority issues.

If you DO watch the show, and you LIKE it, then the Breckin Meyer casting should worry you. His shows never make it past one season (if they even make it a full season). He's TV poison -- like anti-freeze. He seems harmless enough, and maybe a little sweet, but if you eat it you die. Then all your friends say, "Yeah, it's sad he's dead, but didn't he know better than to eat anti-freeze? That's like the Breckin Meyer of things you can eat."

Breckin Meyer does really well with one-off non-offensive movies, and Road Trip. He's often a gray wall that other characters lean on to greatness.

Maybe Seth Green could be "Wiley" from Airborne.

I can no see Heroes making it past a 5th season. It's clear that they have no real plan to what they are doing.
