(S10E12) "Game on." -- MichelleAnd it was game on tonight. The one thing I love about Big Brother is that just when things are settled, they get turned upside down again. Maybe it's the hamsters backdooring someone who thought himself/herself safe. Maybe it's the underdog winning a big competition. Or maybe it's a once strong alliance getting destroyed. The game is never gradual. It's always extreme. And it's on three nights a week.
Let's get to what happened last night...
Pre-Eviction Drama: Dan's the Man with the Master Plan
But Keesha and Libra had other plans. After discussing how much they despise Jessie and want him out, the girls pulled April into their bedroom. April was not happy about the distention in the ranks. She wants Memphis gone. Bottom line. When the girls expressed how they felt threatened by the body builder, April told Keesha and Libra that everyone in the house has someone gunning for them. Memphis doesn't get credit for how well he plays this game and he needs to go.
However, Keesha and Libra would not be stopped. Keesha spoke with Memphis briefly in the yard. Memphis said that the One Mind alliance is throwing their votes away, letting other people play their game. Keesha then worked on Dan. Dan told her that out of everyone in the house, he feels closest to her.
Back in the bedroom, Keesha and Libra counted the possible votes. It would be Keesha, Libra, and Renny to evict Jessie while Jerry, Ollie, and Michelle would evict Memphis. (Sidenote: The shot of Jessie throwing the ball at the rubber duckie in the pool during this sequence was priceless.) So who's left? Dan the Man will be the tiebreaker.
Keesha pulled Dan and Memphis into the bedroom and they all swore to keep Memphis. Everyone looked happy. Meanwhile April expressed her fears about the dissolving alliance to Jerry. As a precaution, Jerry talked to, er, lectured Dan on how he should vote the right way.
But none of this scheming matters. Dan is going to vote the way we tell him.
The Pre-Eviction Interviews
Michelle was asked about the red unitard. Had she gotten over having to wear it? "I look great in it. I can't take that away from myself," Michelle declared, channeling Jen from BB9. Keesha was asked about the worst birthday ever she had earlier this week. Were the events of that day forgotten now? "Not at all," Keesha said strongly.
And Libra was asked a question from the audience about how she gave up a letter from home to go to Hawaii. Libra said that her children were in good hands with her husband and mother. She added that she and her husband said that they wanted to go on a trip after this. Why not Hawaii? I have to agree with her. I don't think it's a sign that she's a bad mother if she took a trip to share with her husband when BB is over.
April's HOH Interview
When asked about the mutiny in her alliance, April said that she definitely trusts them less. She could've easily let Michelle win HOH because Michelle had vowed to keep herself and Ollie safe. She feels disrespected by Keesha and Libra's wanting to evict Jessie. (There's big "D" word again.) April added that it's unsettling how they've treated her.
About her relationship with Memphis, April said that it wasn't hard to look him in the face after nominating him. Memphis never came up to state his case in the HOH room. April said that clearly he didn't care about staying in the house. ChenBot also asked about Ollie and April's relationship. She called Ollie her savior (whoa, strong word). She like that she can get away from the game with him. They take on a personal level.
The Eviction
The boys' speeches were not so impressive. Jessie gave birthday shout-outs to people at home, said he was a competitor, and just simply, "the decision is yours." Memphis gave a short speech about voting for yourself not for the person sitting beside you. Here's how the votes played out:
Michelle voted to evict Memphis.
Oliie voted to evict Memphis.
Jerry voted to evict Memphis.
Libra voted to evict Jessie.
Keesha voted to evict Jessie.
Renny voted to evict Jessie.
Dan voted to evict Jessie according to America's wishes.
That's three votes for Memphis and four for Jessie. Jessie has been evicted from the Big Brother house. When the ChenBot read the results, Jessie looked shocked. Everyone was quiet. He hugged Michelle and Memphis. He shook hands with Ollie and Jerry. As he walked out, Jessie turned to Dan and said, "It's your word." After Jessie left, Michelle paced around the house like a caged animal and punched her own hand like "it's beat down time."
Jessie's Exit Interview
When Jessie came out of the house, you could tell he was visibly shaken by the results. Clearly, he didn't think that he was going home. He even got a little teary-eyed during his interview with the ChenBot. The meathead from Iowa was most upset with Dan, feeling that America's Player is a hypocrite. Jessie said that Dan's Catholic and he doesn't even go to church on Sundays.
Julie played a quick word association game with Jessie. I love word associations. Jessie doesn't get them. Well, either he doesn't get it or it just takes like ten seconds for a word to pop into his mind. About Jerry, he said "in good shape." About Libra, he said, "deviant." About Renny, he said, "a trip the first week." About himself..."the man." That last one didn't take him too long.
In the taped messages, April told Jessie that she was sorry and shocked about the results. Michelle vowed revenge on all the liars. Libra said he was a pain in her butt. Keesha said that she's happy to see him go. And Renny said "sayonara."
The HOH Competition
So Wednesday night, BB kept the houseguest up pretty much all night with recorded messages from fans of the show. This HOH competition would use a True / False test to see who paid the most attention to all those messages.
Question one asked if one of the messages said to get the squirrels out before they drive you nuts. The answer was true. Everyone got it right.
Question two asked if one of the messages told the houseguests that meatloaf was in the kitchen. The answer was false. It was "meatballs," not "meatloaf." Renny and Ollie were eliminated.
Question three asked if the drill sergeant's message had a whistle at the end. The answer was false. It was a bell. Keesha, Memphis and Jerry got it wrong. That meant it was Libra against Michelle for the victory.
Question four asked if a message said to come and get it because the slop is served. The answer was true. Libra got it wrong and Michelle became new head of household. Jerry, April and Ollie celebrated with her. She pointed at the cameras and said, "This is for you, Jessie. I'm going to get them." Keesha and Dan sat on the bench looking annoyed and a little scared.
When Julie came back to the houseguests all assembled in the livingroom, Michelle told her, "The week that I had. I deserve this. Game on." And indeed it will be game on. Michelle is out for blood, I assure you.
Who do you think she'll put up? I don't think that Keesha has a leg to stand on after her blow up with Michelle's beloved Jessie. Dan may be able to get out of the nominations if he can come clean about America's Player. Is he allowed to do that? It was only for one week. If he can tell her, Dan needs to pull out some acting skills and say how broken up he was about having to vote for Jessie.

Buy bye Jessie....I was sad not to see the "shock" look on his face, but from reading recaps he had a feeling he was going by the way they changed up who was going into the DR. I abs loved Renny's goodbye message!

I was so glad to see Jessie go -- what a boring, self-centered individual. Let him go home and endlessly look at himself in the mirror. I was sorry to see Michelle as HOH because that she-devil needs to GO! As for April and Ollie -- shameless sluts on publc TV. Their families must be so ashamed of their offsprings' behavior.

The best - Jessie leaving and then the worst - Michelle getting HOH. If I'd known that would happen, I might not have been so eager for Jessie to go, but whatever.
So it looks like Renny, Keesha and Libra on one side and Michelle, Ollie, April and Memphis on the other. Michelle can nominate, but she can't vote so, assuming she doesn't nominate either Jerry or Dan, they both hold some power this week. I think Michelle will target Libra and Keesha because she will continue the stupid tradition of playing based on emotions rather than true strategy. If she puts up Dan, that would suck, but I guess he took that risk when he accepted the America's Player gig. Of course if he can and does reveal that, that will create yet another target because then they'll want to know how much money he won. If anyone is smart, they might want to point out how Jerry flips sides constantly depending on who wins HOH. It's been working for him thus far, but the gig will have to be up on that strategy sooner or later.
Should be an interesting week!

WOW, deebopalula, you hit the nail right on the head. Your assessment is EXACTLY correct or as I see it...lol. I am glad Remmy got some revenge, it was sweet. Libra has been put into a position where she has to fight to stay in the house. Jesse started the mess with Libra and sat back and let the mess involve Michelle. Now he has Michelle doing his dirty work while he is out and still causing problems. Michelle better cool out and think and put Jerry and Memphis up instead of Libra and Keesha. But Keesha is not going to forget getting Michelle. Jerry is flipping all over the place. As for Ollie and April, this isn't the first time we have seen twosomes going at it in the house, so why the "your family will be upset" stuff? CHILL! Everyone is playing their cards they way they want to play the game. It is a good, no...GREAT show! I'm lovin' it!

I watched the Early Show clip and Jessie is Jessie (me, me, me). Julie Chen brought up the fact that Renny DID apologize to him way back in the beginning, and he attempted to turn the tables on that one too. Not that anyone will buy it. Jessie is just so FULL of himself, it's so sad.

i realize big brother has them cast votes in the order to give the audience the most suspense. but do the players not take this into account? every week it's clear what the alliances are based on who votes when. dan being last this week just makes it plain obvious

After reading updates, it seems like Jessie and Michelle knew he was going b/c they changed the order on who goes in the DR.
Dan cannot reveal he was AP since the $ would be taken away from him...Remember in season 8(i think) when Eric was AP, wasnt he AP longer than 1 week?
Oh...I cannot stand Jerry...he truely is on the HOH side no matter who it is...I personally dont like him and dont like how he talks to others in the house.

I think the post-eviction interview with Jessie had one of the all-time classic lines ever heard on Big Brother...
That was when he said in the most arrogant manner possible... "My name and arrogant shouldn't even be in the same sentence together." Oh, the irony of that statement!!! LOL

I forgot to mention the interview this morning between Julie and Jessie. I can't believe this Jessie. What did he mean by Dan is a Catholic and doesn't go to church on Sunday's. Well Jessie, with all your devious lies, do you go to "church". And what does church have to do with the game. LOL...LOL, Jessie is out of the house...LOL...LOL. I am sooooo glad. I hope Dan will be ok for at least another week or so. This is a good game!

Was it mentioned, to Jesse, on the Early Show, that Dan was America's player? If so, what was his reaction. If not, I am wondering if it was kept secret because evictee's are kept in sequester for a possible return to the house.

This was wonderful. April, O, M, and Jerry were so indignant. How dare those people go against their word and try to win this game?
How is anyone ever shocked to the point of anger in this game? You just have to shake your head and smile when the rug gets pulled out from under you, then regroup and see if you can give a little back.

I'm glad Jessie is gone. The only thing better would have been if he was on slop for the week. He was constantly eating.
While I am not a big Michelle fan especially after complaining about Libra taking her Hawaii trip and sticking her with the red unitard, I did not want Libra to get the HOH. After Jessie, Libra is the most annoying and needs to go!
Michelle will probably nominate Libra and Keesha but she is also upset with Dan. She thinks that Dan is a traitor so she might put him up instead.
Jerry thinks that Dan is a traitor.
Michelle can vote this week as a tie breaker. In fact on BBAD last night, She hoped it would be a 3-3 tie so she would have the priviledge of sending someone home.

You have a point there, but whether or not there will be a tie depends entirely on who Michelle puts up and I don't think she's clever enough to strategize that well - esp. with her feelings so raw after the ouster of her dearest Jessie. If she does manage to pull off some strategic nominating however, I will certainly give her props. But I can't help thinking over the past couple of seasons -- Where are the Dr. Wills? The Kaysar's, the Janelle's, the Evil Dicks? Even a Nakomis or a James? Anyone that really knows how to play - and ENJOYS playing - this game? Sigh.....

Michelle should nominate Dan, Libra, or Keesha. It doesn't matter who wins POV; one of these 3 is adios city. Dan is a traitor. And a hypocrite. And a liar. And I don't care that he's America player! He shouldn't have promised when he didn't know how he was going to vote. Or he should have been smart and guessed America was going to vote to evict Jessie. How could he NOT know?! Personally, I'd like to see Libra evicted pronto as she has been a pain since day 1. Of course breaking up that dismal duo of Renny and Keesha is highly attractive. Michelle should actually be blaming April since April lied to her to win HOH but, hey, there are so many worthy victims here. I love Big Brother!

Dan hasn't done anything wrong. Everything he did this week was as AP. As far as saying he would vote to keep Jessie, he NEVER actually said that, he just nodded. He doesn't like to get into it with anyone, and to tell you the truth, he is the ONLY one there with any integrity, besides Memphis. Everyone else there are unintelligent, emotional, hypocrital liars who play strictly on personal tastes and not strategy. They all turn on each other and stir things up, no one is actually loyal to anyone else, other than April and Ollie, who are sleeping together. None of them know how to play the game, and to tell you the truth, they are totally boring and stupid.

If Jerry gets in Dan's face for breaking any promise with him this week, I sure hope Dan brings up how Jerry broke his promise to Dan and Brian, by putting Brian on the block and saying he only did it because the house ganged up on him.
It's too bad Michelle won. I'm hoping her temper skews her nominations and bites her in her Klingon ass.
