Don't worry, their names aren't Nikki and Paolo.Michael Ausiello over at Entertainment Weekly has the exclusive news about two new characters that are coming to the Lost world. No word yet on whether these characters will be on the island or off of the island, but they sound intriguing.
One is a man in his late 30s/early 40s named Caesar, who is described as "dangerous, physical, and extremely intelligent" and that he's "as skillful at charming people as he is at killing them." Sounds like an assassin type, no? The other character is Ilanna, a female in her late 20s/early 30s who is described as European, intelligent, dangerous, and "used to getting her own way." Except for the European part, that sounds like a lot of the women I've dated.
Lost starts filming its new season in less than two weeks, so we'll have the answers soon enough. And by answers I mean "more questions." This is Lost, after all.

Great news! With as much as 10 months between the end of season 4 and the beginning of season 5, I can't wait to see whether they jumped in time! I'm so like OMG at the moment. And new characters? Wow. Two of them? Phew... That's like, you know, awesome, and stuff. Like remember Nicky and Paulo? They were "new" too. And redshirts.
*yawn*

will start filming in two weeks?? many new shows will be having their season premeires in the next two weeks and lost hasnt even started filming yet? Inexcusable. If Lost was working on the same schedule as 99% of other shows they wouldnt have been hit nearly as hard as they were by the writers strike last year.
Unless i missed something that whole potential actors strike has not been resolved. Why are the producers of this show taking any chances of not getting to film a full season?? I think the fans have been very patient with this show and if for AAANY reason (strike, weather, shia lebouf-esque dui accident/injury, etc etc...) this season gets cut short they will have no one to blame but themselves.
Years from now when this show is looked back on it will be laughable what a disaster the show turned in to. All of these horrible management decisions (by abc and the producers) will finally be seen clearly and a show, which could have/should have been legendary, will just be another dvd set in the bargain bin.

They need to KILL OFF CHARACTERS not introduce more. Stillbash, you are right on. I am so glad I stopped watching this ponderous mess and just read the recaps here. What a chore.
Heroes better redeem itself this season, is all I'm sayin'.
