I can't believe it's gone. I've been watching for weeks now and the damn thing has grown on me, not to mention the polyester pants and paisley shirts. Are you lost? I'm talking about Swingtown. There are but two episodes left of the series and unless there's a dramatic spurt in the ratings, I don't think CBS is going to re-up the show. Add to that the fact that Grant Show has shaved his moustache. That could be a signal that Swingtown is not coming back.Grant actually named the Fu-Manchu moustache, Sebastian. "[It'd] gotten out of control. The moment they called wrap on the last episode, I shaved it off," he told the New York Times. "I feel like myself again. People who didn't know me looked at me like, 'What the hell are you doing?' I was at a restaurant the other day, and a woman asked me if I was a porn star."
Now that the show has wrapped, Grant is moving on to other work. If Swingtown doesn't come back, we'll never get to see Sebastian again. Grant won't miss that, however, the clothes are something else. "That's my favorite part. The '70s had a whole bunch of bad clothes, but my wardrobe was picked out for me from the good stuff. I actually had to lose weight for the role so that I could have a skinnier, more '70's physique."

It stinks we are not going to get more of Swingtown, it deserves a second season.

I really enjoy this show, but honestly, where can they go with it in a season 2?

I think Swingtown was one of the few bright spots of this summer programming. It was something different than the typical procedural cop shows so popular these days.

This is sad news indeed. But, does his shaving the mustache really mean the series is cancelled? He said as soon as the last episode wrapped he shaved it, but would he need to keep it through the hiatus? Wouldn't he just grow it back for the next season?
Sigh. I'm trying desperately to fanwank away the notion of cancellation. I've really grown to love this show.

Best thing on TV. It's a shame it if doesn't come back. Every hour feels like 10 minutes. :( I wish HBO would pick this up, so they could make it really juicy and spice it up with some real nudity and salacious charm. It would ROCK

Why doesn't the Lifetime cable channel pick up Swingtown? It would be a perfect fit for their demographic and they could probably get by with a little more on cable.

I'm really going to be sorry this show is ending so quickly. Show is great, as is Molly Parker and the rest of the lead cast. What a shame.
I hope this season ends in a way that gives a bit of closure.
