Big Brother: Nominations #4

The HOH comp(S10E10) When we left the houseguests on Wednesday night, Angie had just been evicted and they were still battling it out for the next HOH. Michelle was sad to see Angie go but had no choice in her vote considering Jessie was on the block. Jessie is nervous for the competition because he didn't "kiss anyone's tail" last week. Memphis said more of the same and was ready for a fight. The three of them know that they are in trouble of Keesha's alliance gets HOH.

Let's find out what happened after the jump...

The HOH Competition

And they're off... The hamsters were hanging on to the ledge and Jessie was talking smack already. First he asked Renny who she would put up. She replied that she really hadn't thought about it. In her Diary Room segment, she told us that she was going to tell him whatever he wanted to hear. Jessie kept on riling the other competitors. He told them how their muscles were getting tired. After the wall shook and dropped, he said that it would separate the men from the boys. Actually, the competition separated the men from the awesome females as three of the girls stood strong at the end.

Here's how the hamsters dropped:

  • Jerry dropped first at 27 minutes. No big surprise there.
  • Libra dropped at 33 minutes. Her team seemed a little disappointed. April gave a look. And Keesha looked a bit surprised. I was surprised myself. I didn't think that Libra would drop so early. Either she's not strong or she's loses focus in these competitions.
  • Dan dropped at 45 minutes. "No one's going to come after me right now. I'm bad at competitions," Dan said in his Diary Room segment of his decision to drop. Libra caught on to his strategy though. "Something's not right," she mused. Still, Dan could probably play as America's Player better if he's not Head of Household.
  • Ollie dropped at 55 minutes. Keesha threw her hand up in the air like "Really Ollie? You couldn't stay up longer." A few of his alliance said weakly, "Good job, Ollie." But it wasn't a good job. I think we all know that. At this point, April and Renny were up against the three strongest people in the house.
  • Jessie dropped at one hour six minutes after writhing in pain and breathing heavily, much to the chagrin of the other hamsters. "As far as I'm concerned, this was a bogus competition," he whined in the Diary Room.
  • Memphis dropped at one hour 16 minutes. But before that, he tried to make a deal with April who was unresponsive.
  • Renny surprised everyone! It was great to see her beat out all the guys. Coach Dan even gave her a motivational speech replete with yelling and reminding her of the her loved ones watching at home. However, while she tried to shake out her limbs to get the circulation back, she fell.
  • April hangin on for the winIt was down to the two ladies who stayed up there for the next few hours. Michelle started to break down first, even crying at one point from the pain. They made a deal. April promised that she wouldn't nominate Michelle or backdoor her. Michelle cried and moved around trying to find a good spot. Then April said the magic words, "I'll keep Jessie in the game too." April then promised that she wouldn't put up Jessie either. Is she crazy? You don't promise for two people. Come on! Michelle dropped at two hours 40 minutes making April the fourth HOH. After the competition, Ollie tended to an exhausted April telling her how impressed he was with her performance. Michelle began crying to Jessie about how much she wanted to see her mom. There was very little celebration afterwards. I guess because the winner and runner-up were so exacerbated from the competition.
Pre-Nomination Drama

The big alliance is already wavering. They did the same thing last week when Keesha was HOH. They bitch at each other, talk behind each other's backs, find out about said talking, confront each other and rinse / repeat. Already this week, April is upset about Keesha's new friendship with Memphis seeing as April is definitely putting him on the chopping block. Keesha apparently ran right into the spa room that night and commiserated with the mixologist from LA. April caught wind of it and told Libra she felt disrespected (there's that word again). Then she said that she would put up Keesha if Keesha gave her reason. Renny was in the kitchen witnessing April's rant. Later she told Keesha about it but warned her to stay silent.

Later on, Keesha and Memphis chatted in the backyard. Keesha complained, like she has in the past, that she can be friends with whoever she wants in the house. Memphis smartly used the conversation to his advantage. He tried to secure Keesha's vote and maybe the veto if she wins. The two also discussed the semantics of April and Michelle's deal -- did April say she wasn't putting Jessie on the block? did April say that Jessie was safe?

All the while, April and Ollie were hiding up in the HOH room talking about how disrespectful Keesha is. April feels like Keesha ran to Memphis right after the competition and isn't hanging out with her enough. That's a little catty, don't you think?

America's Player

DanDan got his first assignment. He's got to get Jessie up on the block this week. He's happy about this mission, thinking that it's a fairly easy one. However, Dan said that he was selfishly hoping Libra's name is in the box. We only got to see Dan work his magic once on April. He talked to her for about two minutes while she did her make-up in the bathroom. Dan didn't say much more than Jessie was a threat and had to go up. No compelling arguments.

After talking with Dan, April ran into the girls' bedroom and said that Dan was weird. They girls think he might be the twist or America's player.

Next week, Dan has to hug someone for ten seconds. Everyone please vote for Jessie or Memphis. I think those would be the most awkward.

Nomination Ceremony

April's speech was the usual stuff. It's just a game. They all signed on for this. It stinks to have to nominate two people but it's nothing personal. The keys came out of the box like this: Michelle, Ollie, Renny, Libra, Keesha, Jerry, and Dan. So April nominated Jessie and Memphis. She told Jessie that he was a strong competitor both physically and mentally. He intimidates everyone. See, he doesn't intimidate everyone though. And as evidenced by his lackluster performance in the HOH comp, he's clearly not a huge physical threat. Do I need to remind everyone that Renny outlasted the muscle boy? This is not to say that I disagree with April's comments. I think it's best not to tell Jessie that he annoys the crap out of just about everyone. As for Memphis, April told him that his winning a luxury like a classic car played into her decision.

After the ceremony, Jessie told us in the Diary Room that his alliance "sucks." I think that's the most accurate thing he's said all season. Memphis said that one of them is going home.

Do you think April went back on her word?
