You can always count on Ugly Betty to feature tons of guest stars each season. There are the celebrity cameos, the hot love interests, and the over-the-top divas. Yet another guest star was recently lined up for the show's third season, and while his love interest status is unconfirmed, he definitely belongs in the "hot" category. Former All My Children star Mark Consuelos is taking on another soapy role in a guest spot on the telenovela-inspired Ugly Betty. Although the powers-that-be haven't revealed any major details about his role, TV Guide did discover a few bits of info.
Consuelos is set to appear on the third episode of the season, and his role is limited to one episode so far. He'll be involved in a "major story arc" when he turns up at the Mode offices. After season two ended, I voiced my desire for more Mode storylines, so this is very welcome news. Lindsay Lohan's guest role seems to focus more on Betty's personal life; there has to be some balance between her two worlds. Plus it never hurts to have more eye candy on a show that's all about being visually appealing.

They should have Mark Consuelos be the new love interest for Ugly Betty's sister. He would be great as her new hispanic boyfriend!!! She's prortays a sexy hispanic woman and he is beeeeeeeautiful.

It is sad to say... but UB is becoming the employment office for Latin actors who seem to be ignored by other series. Granted, it is great that this show is doing so great and I would hope to see even more underused talent getting into the spotlight.
