(M7) "Mmm... oh... my... god. Wow." - Tommy
OK, so I'm confused. Was this minisode even supposed to have aired last night? All the TV listings, Crackle, and Hulu have this listed as "Supreme." This one, "Sandwich," wasn't set to play until next week. I guess they got switched too late and the scheduling information wasn't changed? Anyway, while I was expecting something serious about Tommy's "dreams and nightmares," instead we got probably the funniest and most well-written minisode yet.
It was a simple gag if you think about it. Lou leaves his food unattended, and as people walk by, they take parts of it. Sandwich halves, potato chips, and even his newspaper. It played out perfectly though. I loved when Tommy walked into the kitchen, looked in the fridge, then did a double-take as he eyed the second half of Lou's sandwich.
Between Tommy, Needles, Mike, and Garrity, they ate Lou's lunch, his auxiliary lunch (Mike burped up Lou's lasagna), and his dessert. And we all know how much that guy loves food. Remember his first encounter with chocolate pizza?
Thoughts...
- How great was it that Needles couldn't even eat the sandwich because of his provolone cheese allergy? The look on Lou's face was priceless.
- Making the same joke right after last week's "Spelling," Mike thought Lou's Tupperware was labeled with "Old" and not "Lou." Maybe this guy is actually illiterate?
- This just occurred to me... I watched this minisode online this morning. Did anyone actually catch the broadcast last night? What aired? "Supreme" or "Sandwich?" Maybe the goof was the stuff that got uploaded to the video sites? If so, go watch this one online before they figure it out and I'll get a review of the one that aired last night up later today. If not... well, ignore this. [UPDATE -- This is indeed not the episode that aired last night. Check back here later today for a review of "Supreme" and go watch this one online before it's pulled!]
Great episode though. I know I'm beating a dead horse, but these minisodes are wonderful. I'm sure there's extra footage and scenes that get cut all the time that'd make for a great one-shot. I hope they do more of them in the future. For now, we've got four left.

okay, that's weird. This didn't air last night. I saw the one on FX as "Supreme" and this was aired as the preview for next week.

Please use a "spolier alert" header if you're going to reveal information about episodes that haven't aired yet. ;)
For what it's worth, "Supreme" was pretty lame.

FWIW, "Rescue Me" was filming around Columbia last week. I saw Denis Leary and (I think) Lenny Clarke walking down Broadway just below 113th Street and I had to stop dead in my tracks. So, watch for it in future episodes! (The nabe, not me stopping dead in my tracks.)

Everyone else hated it. I kinda liked it.
Uhh, so no one said anything... so?
Remember back when the silent issue of GI Joe came out? That rocked the socks... =)
