Cartoon lovers and comic book fanboys/girls rejoice! Cartoon Network will be making Firebreather, The Vanishers, and Mice Templar as part of their slate of original movies. Despite the network's name, only two of these comic books will be developed into animated films. The Vanishers will be produced as a live-action movie.
Firebreather tells the story of an awkward teen, normal in every way except he has a dad who is a fire-breathing dragon. Can you hear the cafeteria conversation now? "My dad's a lawyer." "My dad's a firefighter." "My dad's a fire-breathing dragon... er ... a doctor."
Mice Templar follow a young mouse that uncovers a prophecy to reunite a long dissolved order of the same name. The young mouse, Karic, rescues entire villages and leads this band of mice knights. This one sounds awesome.
The Vanishers is a story of Andy and Arvis, the fifth-graders who go on adventure through time. In all their escapades, the duo realize that they must run from deadly robots who want to control time and enslave humanity.
What do you think? Do these comic remakes sound good to you?
