Liquid Generation has put together the 10 Most Racist Moments in TV. While the moments were extremely racist, I was expecting some more clips from primetime television, cartoons, and soaps. Most of the moments were just evidence of how some people are idiots (idiotic to think the way they do and idiotic to think that they should say something like that on television). I had other choice words in place of "idiot," but it will have to suffice -- trying to keep it clean. My favorite moment from the video is from Jeopardy. Alex Trebek tells the Indian-American contestant, "Yeah, it hurts to miss that one" after he missed New Dehli as an answer. Got to love the Trebek.
Check out the video below and let me know what you think. Also, they play M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" throughout the video which is a little distracting. I'd rather just hear audio from the clips.

This PC thing has gone too far now. How can what Alex Trebek said ever in a million years be considered racist? If the contestant is Indian-American, it's probably fair to assume that his parents tought him a bit about India and therefore it probably *does* hurt not to guess New Delhi as the answer.
Most of the other clips looked liked they were taken out of context (Hillary as KKK - I don't really think so...).
You Americans are funny :-)

Yeah I think Trebek's comment can be classified as incredibly rude, but not really racist.

Those are them, huh? Remember Amos 'n' Andy? Our Gang's Buckwheat? Charlie Chan?
I guess these could be "modern days" but it says history RIGHT THERE.

What about that Wheel of Fortune episode where a contestant, I think his name was Randy or something, tried to solve the final puzzle, which was "N*GGERS" and the clue was people that annoy you? The answer was "NAGGERS" but he guessed another word. That was pretty racist, and it really happened for real.

these are hardly the most 'racist' moments on tv...what about bill o'reilly (well, there are loads of comments by him that are insanely racist) from last year: "I couldn't get over the fact that there was no difference between Sylvia's restaurant and any other restaurant in New York City. I mean, it was exactly the same, even though it's run by blacks, primarily black patronship." O'Reilly added: "There wasn't one person in Sylvia's who was screaming, 'M-Fer, I want more iced tea.' "

Could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure O'Reilley said that specific statement on his radio show, "The Radio Factor," and since it wasn't on TV, and this is the top 10 racist moments of TV...

you're right, it was on radio...not that bill-o hasn't had his fair share of racially motivated faux pas on tv - mentioning a 'lynching party' and michelle obama, calling hispanics 'wetbacks' on more than one occasion, and just yesterday saying al gore's appearance at the netroots convention was the same as going to a Klan meeting. seriously. what a maroon.

Trebek's line was pretty stupid, but he did say that in response to the contestant's "Oh, crap!" expression. He should've known better, but I don't think it quite crosses over into "shockingly racist".

Um, why is assumed that when Alex Trebek says "Yeah, it hurts to miss that one" it's because of the contestants ethnic background and not because the wrong answer takes the contestant back down to zero from instead of putting him in the lead. That would hurt no matter what the nationality of the contestant was.

Because political correctness has gone completely insane.

If you want to see appallingly racist, you should see an episode from the first season of "Get Smart" called "Washington 4, Indians 3". It has not stood the test of time well. And I say that as a "Get Smart" fan who actually bought the entire series DVD set from Time-Life.

interesting that of all the obviously racist clips in that video, everyone seems to be focusing on alex trebek's comment (which might not have been racist) and ignoring the rest of the people who obviously did make reacist comments.
