The good news is that Fiji has shipped. A Microsoft knowledge base article refers to a "Windows Media Center TV Pack," which was released on July 16th. The bad news is, the update was released to OEMs, not to end users. In other words, there's no way for you to download and install the update on your Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate computer. You'll have to wait until Microsoft either issues a wider release or until you purchase a new computer with the software preloaded.

Words just can't express just how much this f****g well stinks!
Many many people like me have paid good money for full versions of Vista ultimate. I desperately want to like Vista MCE, I really really do, but with a lack of support for DVB-S, no H264, limited availability of extenders in Europe (Not to mention 3 reinstalls later, some questionable reliability), I'm finding it harder and harder to stick with MS.
The only thing stopping me moving to a Mac solution is that it really doesn't exist (Sadly Elgato Eye TV isn't the full integrated solution I want).
This better hit general release before Apple or someone else joins the party with a consumer level solution (Myth and Sage are just too hard to setup in my experience) otherwise, the only thing that Vista has going for it in my opinion is down the toilet where it belongs.

I share your pain. I spent the extra money on Ultimate and a box to support it in the expectation that the much touted 'Fiji' would see a jump in usability and features from the fairly basic MCE-2005 port. One year later, and all I can see of value so far [for European users] is support for multiple tuners - which I already got with a 5min registry hack anyway. If, however, they mean support for multiple EPGs then that's a step in the right direction.
Apparently it's only being released to OEMs? What Msoft middle-mamagement marketing eejit created that remarkable contribution to consumer demand ?
