Big Brother 10: Live feeds report - July 18

Jessie in the Big Brother 10 houseIt's been one busy little Big Brother 10 house since Wednesday night's live eviction show. Following the same schedule as last season, the nominations were made yesterday and the Power of Veto competition was today. Oh, yeah...and there was a food comp in there, too.

Now, you could wait until Sunday and Tuesday respectively to find out who was nominated for eviction and who won the Power of Veto. Or you could just read on past the jump for extreme show spoilers from the 24/7 live feeds.

Yesterday afternoon was the food competetion. They had to split into teams and, as Libra put it -- "We lost because we had the two old people on our team." On slop this week are Libra, Jerry, Renny, Memphis, April, and Keesha. As for the nominations, the pre-nom buzz going on in the house was spot on. Jessie nominated Steven and Dan for eviction with the target being Steven.

Why Steven? Well, he had the nerve to disrespect the almighty (and oh so mature) Jessie. At least, in Jessie's mind he was disrespected. Jessie was offended that Steven didn't run right up to his HOH room with everyone else. Steven apparently was in the Diary Room for two hours at that time. Heaven forbid anyone not bow and scrape to Jessie at this point. Being HOH has only made the rather inflated body of the small-headed boy expand even more with hot air. As in the Renny bit in which he just can't get over being called immature, he's not going to stop with his anti-Steven tirade no matter if Steven apologizes or not.

I don't care all that much for Steven. He's said and done some dumb things and moves. He thinks bigoted jokes are funny and has no qualms saying them in front of the entire Internet. I wanted to like him, but I've edged away. That said, I don't like how Jessie immaturely takes some sort of perceived personal offense when people don't take him as some sort of bodybuilding god and then pushes his agenda.

Today's big news is that they played the Power of Veto comp. Of course, the feeds were blocked for the comp itself. But, unlike last week when it had been played three days before the feeds went live, the feeds returned immediately afterwards. We did get a glimpse of the yard before the feeds were cut. There was a doorway and what looked like a basketball hoop. The houseguests were still talking about the comp when the feeds came back on. Michelle won POV. Right now it's not clear if she'll use it or not. I'm thinking that she probably won't use it. But we have plenty of time for her to decide.

In house crumbs:

  • Jessie is still fussing about Renny calling him immature. Please, grow up, Jessie.
  • Jessie's supposedly such a "natural" bodybuilder and health fanatic, but he drinks Red Bull like it's going out of style. That stuff is neither natural nor healthy.
  • Memphis and Libra think Dan is playing Jessie by telling him how loyal he is -- he had made an alliance with Brian and kept with it even though Steven voted with the rest of the house. If Dan became loyal to Jessie, he'd be the same way.
  • Angie wanted to win the veto so she could redeem herself with the house by not using it and respecting Jessie's nominations.
  • Jerry told Angie that Libra is leading the girls and is the power player. He also said she's probably going to trip herself up.
  • Before veto, April, Keesha, and Michelle discussed how Dan is working around the house while Steven is moping and isolating himself. They're thinking that if Steven has given up, he might as well be voted out this week.
  • April and Keesha have made up to the point where they're talking and not cat-fighting. They both are starting to get annoyed at Jerry.
  • Jerry told Jessie that he has to watch out for Libra.
  • There was a slop pass given out during the POV comp. Libra said she didn't take it because she's a part of the team.
  • Keesha took the slop pass and then cried because someone (Libra?) said something nasty to her about it. If that wasn't the reason she was crying, it was because she was accused of playing to win the POV for Steven. Wow, just a bit sensitive there, girl.
  • Michelle, after winning POV, said she has to consider all of her options and can't promise anything right now.
  • Steven and Jessie have been talking for what seems life forever. Steven goes back and forth from saying he'll pack his suitcase now to he wants to stay. He feels alienated and is miserable. Jessie hasn't really backed down from his "you disrespected me" stance. They're talking calmly but I don't see Jessie changing his mind. Out of Steven and Dan, Steven is the target.
