NBC launched a webisode series called Going Postal to whet your appetite for the fall season of Heroes. Each week we'll get introduced to a new villain, their ability and their motives. The first installment called "A Nifty Trick" features Echo DeMille played by Kiko Ellsworth (General Hospital, Dexter). Echo is a mailman with a secret ability that involves really loud screaming. An official-looking agent and a pale thug are after him.
Over the next few weeks we'll find out more about Gina (Rebeka Montoya), Constrictor (Mark Steger), Agent Howard (Brian Prescott), and Agent #1 (James Ryen). Gina is Echo's love interest (according to the site she doesn't have a special ability). And we meet Constrictor in this first video. You can probably tell what Constrictor's ability is just from the name.
NBC has been touting these summer webisodes for awhile. They released a teaser for them awhile back. I thought we were going to get more. Only three and a half minutes? I had to watch a stupid commercial for some car, too. I know, you have to watch a little "sponsored by" ad before these things -- but this was just a picture of a car with some pop-ups and a countdown. I'm fine with watching the picture of the car, but I better get more than three minutes of Heroes goodness afterwards.
You can watch the video now over at NBC. There will be a new video posted every Monday at 3 p.m. EST. You can read more about the new characters and their abilities here.

i watched this last night. it was pretty cool, but yeah...definitely too short. i liked echo, but the constrictor...umm, i dunno. after following your link and reading the bio it says his grip also has some kinda numbing effect, so i guess that makes it a little more distinct. my first thought, though, was "couldn't niki do this same thing since she could overpower everyone?"
i dunno, perhaps the usefulness of that power wil grow on me, but @ this point it seems kinda cheesy and maybe not that well thought out.

I thought this was pretty lame. The acting and direction looked like a youtube video. It was very short- I think the commercial before it was the same length. I will not watch any more of these. I like Heroes but I'm getting tired of seeing more people with powers, instead of them focusing on the original cast. The Office webisodes are way better.

Darn, I was hoping the Constrictor would be someone with the Darth Vader choke, now that would be interesting. . .

I gave up on Heroes last season after falling several weeks behind. After awhile I just chose not to bother catching up... Is it worth getting caught up now?
