During the HBO's panel at the TCA Press Tour, executives Richard Plepler, Co-president, and Michael Lombardo, President of Programming and West Coast Operations, said they'd be interested in doing a Sopranos movie and a second Sex and the City movie. Plepler said that Warner Bros. and New Line are definitely interested in doing another Sex and the City movie. They are trying to put something together, but there's no timeline. "Everyone associated with the project was really heartened by the fans and by the new fans to the show," Plepler said. As far as a Sopranos feature goes, Lombardo says HBO would be delighted to take part in it. He says that series creator David Chase is in France on vacation right now but, "If David wants to do it, we'd be delight to explore that."
When the executives were pressed about Mad Men (rumors are abound that HBO turned down the show and AMC snatched it up), Lombardo said only this, "Heres the bottom line, it's a wonderful show and I wish it were on HBO. Matt [Weiner is] an extraordinary talent and I hope that one day, he'll do something for us."
Would you see another Sex and the City movie? How about a Sopranos movie?

Yeah I really need another SATC movie ASAP. Because it's the only kind of movie where men finally see how utterly ridiculous action-movies must be for women.
I already have a title: SATC - Cougar-attack!
Seriously thought, the whole Miranda story in the first movie was the biggest pile of crap I ever saw. And it's just too funny that the uber-cougar later on decided that she wanted to be selfish now. Because she "Loves herself more". What a pile of garbage. Basically she says she's unable to be monogamous and faithful. If that would've been a guy saying that there would've been rioting women in the street. Imagine Big saying that to our beloved book-writing New York girl in her fourties. "Honey, I know I married you, but you know, I love myself more than you".
And the cougar's boyfriend reacts understandingly. F*** that.

It would have been nice of the press to grill them about the Deadwood movies that were promised to us. I would like to hear what kind of bs answer they would have given to that question in a room full of reporters.

I really enjoyed the Sex & The City movie. I was worried about how it be handled, but it stood up to the show, the friendship, and the characters will. A second one would be great.

No, they should not look at $$$$ and use that as the basis for another SATC movie. This one was a perfect ending to the series with everyone basically happy with their lives, finally. To bring them back would be to introduce more drama and break-ups for the characters that would piss off the fans. I just think it would be a mistake. Let the characters live happily ever after as they are.

Richard Plepler, HBO's co-president, told reporters: "The likelihood of a 'Deadwood' movie happening is slim to none."
