Looks like The Biography Bio Channel is trying to make a name for themselves outside of the usual programming they have. First they signed Williams Shatner to do his own talk show, called Raw Nerve, and now they've signed musician/actor Chris Isaak to host his own talk show too, The Chris Isaak Hour.
This should be fun, because Isaak is a funny, likable guy and can probably get some cool guests/bands that you don't usually see on talk shows. And I'd much rather see him do this than those guest spots he's been doing on Extra (or is it Access Hollywood? All those shows tend to run together on the schedule and in the mind.)
Shatner's show actually debuts next month, on August 19. His guest list sounds rather varied: Leonard Nimoy, Jimmy Kimmel, Judge Judy, and Jenna Jameson! Not all on the same show I don't think, but still.
Both Isaak's and Shatner's shows (as well as other new shows the network has announced, including the reality shows Female Forces and Why I Ran) will be shot in high definition.
I didn't know that The Biography Channel had officially changed its named to Bio Channel. Shorter name = hip.

WhatI said...
Hopefully Isaak will do well enough to inspire a DVD release of "The Chris Isaak Show" soon. That show was hilarious and nowhere to be found anymore..
