Stump the King: The Flintstones

Fred and BarneyThere aren't a lot of TV shows that I can watch with my kids and enjoy them. They love crap on the Disney Channel and I love The Daily Show. While we both love Spongebob, I can only see the same episode so many times.

One show that seems to hold up for all of us is The Flintstones. The kids especially like the later episodes with Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm.

On one particular day, I was enjoying an episode of The Flintstones with my kids and something odd happened. In this particular episode, Fred and Barney got into a huge fight because they were on a road trip and they ran out of gas.

Think about that for a minute. On The Flintstones...they ran out of gas. The reason for the fight was that it was Barney's responsibility to fill up the gas can with extra gas, therefore Fred was reading him the riot act.

Never mind the fact that dinosaurs still live and walk among them, therefore there are no fossils from which to make fossil fuels. Never mind that the internal combustion engine has yet to even be conceived let alone built and put in the car. There's nothing under the hood but a bird who squawks when you pull his tail!

I couldn't understand why Barney didn't just explain this to Fred so they could get back in the car, stomp their feet and be on their way.

Now for this week's question...

Who was the only non-fictional celebrity to guest star on The Flintstones and not have their name altered?

Congratulations KLB! Hoagy Carmichael is correct.
