The Amazing Race extreme spoilers abound

The Amazing Race 13 premieres September 28The new season of The Amazing Race won't premiere until September 28 on CBS. But, you see, the filming is done. The cast and crew of the show have signed strict nondisclosure contracts. You can bet they're not leaking any information.

Now, if we were back in time to the 1950s, there would be no leaks -- less air travel, no internet enabling the average Joe to spread the word. But in today's world it's really hard to have racers running through airports without folks taking notice.

Warning -- Extreme show spoilers after the jump!

I haven't seen any of the racers running through my yard, so I became a woman on a mission. I gleaned information from sites such as Reality Fan Forum and Survivor Sucks. I weeded through all of the reports, dismissed the ludicrous, and came up with plenty of good timeline information as well as some of the skinny on teams. I can't personally vouch for any of this information. I'm just the messenger.

April 22 - The crew and teams were spotted at LAX (Los Angeles). Two blond women in pink (gack), an older couple described as hippies with long white hair, a middle-aged couple, and a young couple. Five teams flew via American Airlines, six teams via United Airlines. Destination: Sao Paulo, Brazil.

April 23 - Due to a fog detour, the teams and film crew were next spotted at the Rio de Janeiro Airport. The "pink" female team sported t-shirts blazoned with "Texas," so that's likely their home state. As the plane was delayed, teams tried to switch seats to be closer to the exit.

April 24-25 - Teams are in Salvador de Bahía, Brazil. The teams had to rappel down 70 meters on the Lacerda Elevator.

April 25-27 - Fortaleza City Ceará, Brazil. Teams had to read a clue in Portuguese and determine the key phrase. That phrase was "Cidade Da Crianca" -- a location in downtown Fortaleza where teams had to get taxis to go on to the next clue. The local who reported this claimed to be hired as a painter giving the teams clues. He said there were ten teams in the race at the time.

April 28 - La Paz, Bolivia where a U-Turn was spotted. Teams not seen, but bikes and headgear with feathers were nearby.

April 29 - Santa Cruz, Bolivia. A Phil Keoghan sighting at the airport.

April 30 - Santiago, Chile. The teams were spotted at the airport. appearing tired and dirty as they obtained tickets at different counters. They arrived in two waves. In particular, the teams spotted included two younger couples, an all female team, and possibly a middle-aged team.

May 2-3 - Auckland, New Zealand. Teams were in town only for a day, possibly a layover. Most of the teams were on flights bound for Cambodia by 12:30 PM, one team was still there at 7:30 PM lagging way behind.

May 4-5 - Siem Riep Town, Cambodia. Teams were reported to be stacking baskets, then hopping into the back of trucks. In that area, similar baskets are used to transport pigs. One team spotted was an African-American couple not noted in previous sightings. It's also reported that teams had to find a specific face in the ruins at Siem Reap. Route markers on six boats were spotted at Tonle Sap Lake. A young male team (one with orange hair, the other brown) was also spotted in Angkor Wat where they arrived at a clue box at 11:30 AM on May 4. One report has three teams on a flight to Bangkok on May 6.

May 6 - Teams and crew were reported to be on the way to Delhi, India from Bangkok, Thailand. The teams spotted include the Texas gals, a mother and son team (he has spiky hair), two young couples, a young "frat boy" male couple -- no aged hippies, no African-American team at this point.. (Not spotted, anyway.)

Around May 8-13 - This isn't totally reliable, but a few reports have the teams in Moscow, Russia. It is confirmed that CBS took out an insurance policy in Moscow, but no reports or actual sightings by the internet TAR stalkers ... er, fans.

May 14-15 - Final destination, Portland, Oregon. Reports state that the Pittock Mansion is the last stop in the race. Decoy teams were used by production to shield the winners. It's possible that the Texas gals were in the final three teams.

So, there you go. The Amazing Race used to have a thirty day filming period, but this is only 23 days. However, last season was 21 days in filming. About the only other spoiler-ish news I have is that the 14th season will start filming in August. That means that we should have both fall and winter seasons of TAR this season. Ah, I like the idea!
