Lifetime brings you three new original movies this summer

Jenna DewanBad girls rule this summer. Lifetime will premiere three new original movies this summer: Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal, True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet, and Confessions of a Go-Go Girl. The movies will air on three consecutive Saturdays, beginning August 2nd at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Fab Five, based on a true story, follows head cheerleader and daughter of the principal Brooke and her clique. They break the rules and run the school until a new cheerleading coach comes in to whip them into shape. Ashley Benson stars as Brooke. Tatum O'Neal (Rescue Me) will play the principal, Brooke's mother. And Jenna Dewan of Step Up will play the cheerleading coach. I wonder if Dewan will show off some of her dance moves.

True Confessions stars recording artist JoJo Levesque and Shenae Grimes (The CW's 90210). Levesque will play a 17-year-old Hollywood star who has it all but collapses on the red carpet from alcohol poisoning. She's whisked into rehab, but the constant media coverage forces her to move to Indiana where she lives with her quirky aunt, played by Valerie Bertinelli. I guess Lohan wasn't available for the role.

Go-Go Girl tells the story of Jane McCoy (Chelsea Hobbs) who scraps her plans for law school to pursue a career in acting. She has financial woes so she turns to go-go dancing to make ends meet. However, the job quickly takes over Jane's life and she loses her true self. Rachel Hunter, Corbin Bernsen and Sara Carter will also star.

Of all three, I think I'm most likely to tune into the last one. It looks like the grittiest story and Corbin Bernsen's presence definitely helps. What about you?
