Have you heard?! Full episodes of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are now available for streaming! These will be available on Hulu, as well as players on the show's official sites (The Daily Show and The Colbert Report). Only the most recent few weeks will be available in full episode format, but the broken up clips that I have been embedding in these posts will be around forever, so that's what I'm going to keep putting in here. This is a fantastic, convenient feature... for the Americans that can access it. Sorry, Canada. Close, but no cigar. There is a heat wave tearing through New York, but that didn't kill the spirits of the audience members that waited in line to see the show. This is partially due to the fact that they got free tiny bottles of Poland Spring water. Dude, I waited for, like, six hours in line for The Colbert Report when it was zero degrees and we totally didn't get anything. I mean, I understand there's a difference between handing out water bottles and serving individual cups of hot coca, but couldn't they have at least sent out interns to hug us for a few minutes at a time? Come on.
"Indecision 2008": Barack Obama must be exhausted from hearing all these questions about putting Hillary Clinton on the ticket as his running mate. This barrage started even before Clinton's concession speech, because the media is desperate. I believe the Audrey II graphic was rather appropriate. The Daily Show News Team, John Oliver, Samantha Bee and Aasif Mandvi had brief and differing thoughts on Clinton's speech. They also had sexy MacBook Airs. Mmm. Wafter thin. I bet they did this simply because a dusty Election Center is a sorry sight. They haven't used it in such a long time and, keep in mind, it's constantly sitting on the set,.serving as a constant reminder of all the money they spent on little flat-screens.
"Number Two": I don't know about you guys, but I have been waiting for the Senate's Phase Two report on the bad WMD intel with Dark Knight levels of anticipation. Too bad the mainstream media didn't seem quite as interested in it. I think it's safe to say that in those few minutes, Jon Stewart managed to cover more of the Phase Two report than a lot of other places.
The night's guest was Jim Webb, A Time to Fight: Reclaiming a Fair and Just America. Most of the interview was about Webb's work with the GI Bill and the administration's opposition of it. It was pretty straightforward, but did a really good job of explaining the situation in terms to anyone who hasn't heard about this unfortunate situation. I think Jon put it best when he said, "It's almost like they're saying, 'If we're not going to be able to improve their Army or their Armed Forces experience, let's make coming home crappier."
Jon/Stephen: Stephen Colbert projects we'll be suffering from 200 degree whether by the peak of Summer. It's simple economics. Moment of Zen: The media is all over Clinton's house, desperately trying to make sure she doesn't ninja her way out to meet Obama.

No surprise that you recognized Audrey II.
Freeballin' it for Phase 2!
On TCR, Stephen started a rumor that bachelor-president James Buchanan was the first gay president. It's ironic because that rumor already exists. Check out the section about William Rufus King in this article from Mental Floss (great publication)

Actually. The Comedy Network sitet here in Canada has been streaming full episodes for a few weeks now. The setup isn't as good as the American sites, particularly Hulu, but it works well enough. The only crappy part is we can't watch all those awesome old clips.

Would anyone else buy a copy of Colbert's Tell-All Book about working with Jon Stewart? I would love to read that, let their imaginations run wild in making Stewart the boss from hell.

That Jim Webb interview proved once again that shooting people in the face jokes will never get old.
