Usually respectable news institutions have been suffering after failing to fact-check breaking news. Entertainment Tonight is no exception to this, making a boo-boo after falsely reporting that Angelina Jolie's never-ending pregnancy has actually come to an end. This also knocked the credibility of Jon Stewart's "Ultimate Celebrity Baby Website" ("Is Jamie Lynne Spears' baby pregnant yet?... Verne Troyer: Sort of celebrity baby")."Indecision 5768": Recently, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John McCain all addressed AIPAC, the leading pro-Israel lobby group. Hurrah! It was good to hear another classic "... or NAMBLA" joke, even if it was "... or No-ham-BLA." The graphic of Obama wearing a flag and men's suit pin was an equal win. Throughout the event, all three candidates attempted to out-Israel each other. Poor Obama's camp counselor remark wasn't quite as effective as some of McCain's references, including some Joe Lieberman name-dropping ("You win, Senator, but, you know, when you go to Israel, you don't need to bring your own Jew").
Clinton is expected to finally drop out of the race and endorse Obama at a DC event on Saturday. In her second appearance, Senior Women's Issues Commentator Kristen Schaal stopped by to talk about some of the misogynistic remarks from the press. As soon as she showed up looking like a ten year-old who got into her mother's closet, I knew something was going on. I mean, come on, she dressed like she was interviewing for an Urban Outfitters job in her first appearance. I mentioned this in my review of Schaal's last TDS segment and my feelings stand the same: Schaal is a fantastic comedian, but she's not right for TDS. Remember the days when correspondents and commentators had to be able to feign credibility and weren't just random comedians pulled from the hipster scene? I'll give Schaal the credit for delivering some good lines ("Good thing she's not going to be president, or there'd be garbage bags full of testicles on every curb in America") and showing up in adult Underoos, though. This set would fight injustice just fine too, ladies.
The night's guest was Adam Sandler, promoting his new film You Don't Mess with the Zohan. Thanks for dressing up for the show, Mr. Sandler. Over half of the interview was focused solely on his choice of dress and sharing fun stories about childhood pants and the humiliation that follows having one's mother plan the wardrobe. The only thing even close to Zohan discussion was when Sandler talked about his mother's reactions during the premiere. But seeing as how both guys are old, old friends, they had no trouble goofing around and managed to build an entire interview around it.
Moment of Zen: Larry King, you're not fooling anyone, talkin' about text messaging.

Schaal indeed doesn't fit in with the show... And weirdly enough I not only don't find her segments very funny, I even suffer through them... Also I don't understand why her segments are so long. Even Lewis Black doesn't get as much screentime...

I enjoyed the visual of Obama wearing a suit pin. That was better than no-ham-bla.
Jon loved Jew-ing it up during the Indecision 5768 segment. I don't usually like the gimicks, but the Kosh-o-meter was great. My son, the doctor!
