Leave it to the Sundance Channel to broadcast a reality television program that may actually benefit world society. The show is called On The Road In America and is about four Arabs in their 20's on a road trip across America, seeing different aspects of American culture.
Egyptian cast member Ali Amr views the program as an opportunity to dispel Middle-Eastern myths about the United States. "They think Americans are spoiled. They spend money for nothing. They are fat," he said. "After my experience, when I traveled in different places, no, I found the people different."
The series sounds more documentary-style than the preconceived situations seen in other reality TV programs, but at least it's serving a useful purpose. Take THAT Rock of Love and other reality television trash!
