I know, I know, you're thinking to yourself, "I thought we went through this already and Jericho has been officially, definitely, and finally canceled by CBS?" Oh, silly people!
Jericho fans just won't quit. The "Save Jericho" people have erected a billboard on Ventura Blvd. in Los Angeles. It looks like a real estate ad, with a sign that says "TV Show For Sale," and includes the CBS phone number and the URL for a web site. They're looking for a new home for the show, and if it's not CBS then maybe The Sci-Fi Channel or another cable network.
Now, I sort of rolled my eyes at this, but what makes it a little bit more confusing is that Jericho producers Carol Barbee and Jon Steinberg called into a radio show during Jerichon and said that they were having meetings with various people and that they were optimistic. Huh?!

amen. Plus this show was so generic. It had an A-team feel about it. Cookie cutter characters, generic dialog, no dramatic tension, nothing unexpected. I sat through all of season 1 hoping the writers would grow up. Never happened. I always felt the show should end with a Stephen J. Cannell logo.

I'm glad it was brought back for a second season to resolve loose ends, but the season two finale provided enough closure for me to move on and feel comfortable with its departure.

I hope this works - networks have to stop using the useless Nelson ratings as a guide - its not right and hasn't been for decades. People want to watch their shows - so get it back on the air already!

YES! Jericho will come back. Carol Barbee did, indeed, call into a radio show (I heard it live) and say that negotiations are continuing and they hope to have news sometime during the summer. The story must continue!
TV networks have to understand that WE are the consumers. I am sooooo tired of shows getting whacked before I even get to see them and listening to them cry where have all the viewers gone?

Sorry. I just can't hear the Jericho fanboys regurgitating this "We the people" crap anymore. It's always as if CBS "has to understand that we the target audience like this so they have to put this on the air/produce it".
No they don't. They have to take a look at the ratings, the demo that watches the show, and if that's not the demo that shells out money for the stuff that is advertised, if CBS can't get advertisers put up their ads during the commercial breaks on the show, then the products isn't generating revenue and THAT is ALL that counts.
As if the consumer has anything to say. They send nuts and displayed their willingness to shell out money for a stupid reason - they showed they have EXCESS money. They gave CBS something to show advertisers and tell them "look this show has people watching it who are really into the mindset that they could actually change something and that's the ideal advertising environment for YOUR product".
Nothing else.

Jericho is a show that could run for many more seasons. There is such a story line. It is the best cast and crew ever on small screen. I beleive all our efforts will pay off. Jericho fans are not going anywhere that we have proved.

There aren't many TV shows worth fighting for, but Jericho is one of them. I believe the producers when they say that CBS-Paramount is looking for a new home for the show, and I look forward to a happy announcement.

It's not if , but when & where will Jericho be renewed. Our argument has always been that there are more viewers than the Nielsens accounted for and CBS even admitted that. Bash, we don't think CBS has to listen to us, in fact we know they won't. However, if the networks don't start paying attention to what the viewers want they will continue to lose veiwers to cable and will end up with noone to watch CSI: MARS or whatever else they dream up. A Dog reality show? Give me a break!

I have to disagree with alot of the comments made, about this article and the Jericho fans. I am one of those nuts that would love to see Jericho back for many seasons to come. It is an innovative show, with alot of heart and soul. There is so much more story to be told, and want to see it back. What can I say, I'm proud to be a ranger and a nutty fan !!!!

To all the naysayers out there, "GET SOME BALLS!!!"
And to all the reporters and gossip collumnists - Never underestimate the Jericho Fans. It should be refreshing to see such passion when TV viewers are eroding across the board. The advertisers are being scammed left and right by the Neilsen company who uses an abacus to measure viewers and outsource their counters from India and fire workers in the United States. Time for Neilsen to be exposed as the corrupt monopolistic corporation that they are!! And if the show Jericho has anything to do with that then so be it!

If you're tired of hearing about Jericho, close your ears.
And just for the record, it is OUR TIME AND OUR MONEY!
We did not decide to send nuts, write letters, make phone calls, rent a billboard etc. to make people think we have money or too much time on our hands. Many, many Rangers fighting for this show are Professionals in the workforce working long hours in their careers.
The Jericho Rangers and the Producers that are trying to sell the show are doing it because we feel passionate about this show and know that there is soo much more that Jericho has to offer.
The cast, crew, producers, writers, etc. have done, and can continue to do a wonderful job of telling a story that grabs you and keeps you entralled through it all.
The actors pull you in and make you feel like you are family going thru the problems along with them.
And you what? We DO BUY the products that are advertised during Jericho, and WE ALL KNOW that Neilson MUST count the people that view shows by other means than tv.
I AM PROUD TO BE A JERICHO
RANGERS AND I WILL CONTINUE TO FIGHT

I have to agree, Jericho fans are the nuttiest, but they are also the best. I'm proud to call myself a Jericho Ranger. We have launched a massive campaign to show network executives that are intelligent viewers who are tired of reality television and CSI or Law and Order reincarnations. If anything is accomplished by this campaign, I hope it's that simple fact. We're not really concerned about how a Farmer gets a wife, what happens in the Big Brother house or who survives Gilligan's Island. We want shows that make us think, make us feel, make us care. Jericho does that. It is well directed, well written and brilliantly acted. It's a show worth fighting for.
