Stump the King - Child Stars

Robbie Rist and Paul Goebel (years ago)Robbie Rist is one of the most well-known child stars there is. Oddly enough it's not because he got arrested or starred in a reality show about his crazy marriage. He is well-known for his body of work.

Robbie has worked on some of the most popular shows on television including The Brady Bunch, Mary Tyler Moore, Galactica 1980, The Bionic Woman and, of course, the immortal Kidd Video, just to name a few.

I taped an episode of my podcast this weekend and Robbie was kind enough to be my guest. During the show, I asked him something I have always wondered, "What is it that makes a child star turn to the life that has become so synonymous with their level of fame?"

The answer was not much of a surprise. Robbie simply said, "parents." He then went on to explain that his parents never treated him like he was special for any other reason than he was their son. While his acting career was clearly important to him, they made sure he not only got good grades but also participated in music, sports and plenty of other group activities.

Clearly it's the parents who are responsible for kids who grow up to be like Robbie, Marc Price or Ron Howard as well as the kids who end being Gary Coleman, Danny Bonaduce and Dana Plato.

With that being said, here is this week's trivia question...

On Kidd Video what was the only thing sucked into the "flip side" besides the band and their instruments?

Congratulations Tanner. Their car (specifically Whiz's Brat) is the correct answer.
