Disclaimer: TV Squad will soon be posting its own review of this Direct-to-DVD Futurama movie. Rather than keep our loyal readers in suspense, we'll be directing you to another review site until the DVD finally arrives in the mail.
Screen Jabber was able to grab an advance copy of the second Futurama DVD release, The Beast With A Billion Backs (lucky bastards). As a result, we are treated to a review by them.
The story takes place about a month after the events of Bender's Big Score. It seems that there has been a rip in time and space and a giant mutli-tentacled alien is reaching through to try and have sex with everyone on the planet (if two people having sex are the beast with two backs, then...well, you get the idea).
A couple of subplots are there as well: Fry gets a new girlfriend (voiced by Brittany Murphy) and Kif tries to marry Amy. The latter means an extended appearance by Zapp Branigan, so Zapp Branigan fans can rejoice (of course, the biggest Zapp Branigan fan is Zapp Branigan).
Other familiar faces appear in the story (including the Giant Amazon Women and their Snu Snu). The review says it's better than the first release. I'm looking forward to it. How's about you?

If it's even half as good as the first one, I'll be more than happy with it.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS!!
I really enjoyed the first one, and looking forward to the next. I really wish this was back on the air weekly still (second best animation after South Park, in my book).
Fox are a bunch of knuckledusters.
And I've already mentioned this in the last day or two but the only thing I care about at the minute is that an Arrested Development movie is made. Please for the love of GOB.

I'm replying to myself(!) but I wanted to add:
A) I can't read that review! Do not want to be spoiled!
B) I can't wait for this to hear the torrent sites!
C) I will watch it on torrents but also buy the DVD, and if they wanted more money from me they could knock up a legal torrent distribution site in, oh 10 minutes, and I would happily send them $3/4. But that's just common sense - it would never happen!

The 1st movie was great, and I really wish it was back on TV.
Down side it netflix took months to get the 1st movie to me. I ended up buying it after renting it, but I still would like to get the 2nd movie through rental before deciding to buy.

i can't understand how some 'fans' didn't like Bender's Big Score...i have seen a lot of negative comments about it around the net (not here, though, you guys are cool). I can't wait for this next one.
Here's hoping it comes back as a regular weekly show!

I really enjoyed Bender's big score. The only thing I didn't like is that they messed with the sacred Futurama scene involving Fry's dog... but that's just me.
Can't wait for the new movie. Bring it back to TV!
In a perfect world, and all that....
