After weeks of dating and eliminating some 25 women, including some crazy ones like Stacey, London bachelor Matt Grant found his soul mate. The 27-year-old proposed to one of the final two ladies in this week's season finale of the ABC's The Bachelor.Did he give the $60,000 engagement ring to 24-year-old Chelsea or 22-year-old Shayne? The answer after the jump!
Before making his final decision, Matt introduced both ladies to his parents and one of his brothers. After that, he spent some more quality time with each in order to help him decide who was best suited for him.
Since he took Amanda R. out of the running two weeks ago, it was pretty much a given who would Matt give the final rose too. Personally, I was rooting for Amanda since she got out of the limo and introduced herself to the bachelor in the season premiere. I thought they had chemistry and were well suited (so did she from her reaction when she wasn't given a rose). So I was shock to see him eliminate her after such a bad date with Chelsea (remember that he had more fun with the turtle than with her). And, as it was the case for many viewers, I was not a Shayne fan at all. I thought she was childish and playing him. But our opinions don't matter in this game of love. We have no way of letting Matt know whom he should pick.
After some soul searching, Matt Grant decided to offer the final rose and propose to actress Shayne Lamas, daughter of The Bold and the Beautiful's Lorenzo Lamas and actress Michelle Smith. Stay tuned to the world wide web to week to learn if the couple are still together.
The Bachelor makes place for The Bachelorette, which returns for another season on ABC starting next Monday.

totally agreed, after the last couple of jerks they had in the past seasons, they finally got someone who is genuine about finding love and not just there to hang out with the girls. he chose the right one.

GOOD CHOICE CHOOSING SHAYNE!! He had no chemistry w/ Chelsea; Amanda was good to look at but didn't have anything much there; Shayne has class, surprisingly I thought she was more mature than a lot of the girls/ women in the house, more genuine and more honest -- his parents also saw that, and so did he!! I love them together and wish we were able to see a follow-up to their affair! She's independent, a strong young woman yet has the playful, childlike quality that gave her a sweet innocence and I think she is perfect for him! Of all the other girls in the house (at least, most), she kept out of the nonsense, and had a great sense of humor during the whole thing -- way to go Matt!!

Did Matt not hear Shayne say in the beginning, when talking with her Father, that she was getting in all of this for the exposure to further her career. That should make anyone nervous. I'm really anxious to follow-up on this one.

I say Congratulations to Matt & Shayne. I was rooting for her from the beginning. She seemed to be so real---not pretense about her. I am so glad Matt saw the true person she is.. I wish them many, many years of health and happiness. I will always remember the love that seemed to excude from the two of them. Best Wishes

I liked Shayne. Matt's an outdoorsman and she shares that important interest. Chelsea was a bit too reserved. Matt was looking for an outgoing choice for a life partner. Amanda needs to improve on her language skills. She included the word "LIKE" seemingly in every sentence and often more than once. I hope she'll stop repeating that word...she's much smarter than that. I think it's become a habit that she cannot break. It's aggravating to say the least. I hope Matt & Shayne will be happy, have fun enjoying their love of sports, and live a long and loving life together.
