When Tim Gunn returns for the second season of Tim Gunn's Guide to Style, he'll be joined by a new sidekick. Stylist Gretta Monahan has signed on as the show's newest fashion accomplice. Last season, model Veronica Webb helped Tim Gunn make over several style-impaired women. Now it's Monahan's turn. Monahan owns Boston's Grettacole Spas, Salons and Boutiques. She also has a fair amount of on-camera experience, having appeared on the Rachael Ray Show, The Today Show, The View, and her own fashion segment on Boston's NBC station. Monahan recently served as a consultant on Dove's Real Beauty campaign.
This is an exciting change. Veronica Webb was very personable on Guide to Style's first season, but she mainly contributed some funny remarks and dealt the the fashion victim's unmentionables. As a professional stylist, Monahan can provide more constructive advice to the women on the show. It's her job to bring out the best in her client's appearance, and she'll do the same for the ordinary women selected for makeovers. No premiere date has been announced, but the show is expected to return later this year.
What do you think of Veronica Webb's replacement?

I think you're entirely too charitiable to Webb. I found her stiff, stuffy, and snotty on the show- not enjoyable at all. Tim manages to "make it work", but the show was in desperate need of an anti-Tim. Hopefully, this new sidekick will spice up the show.
