Holy frik! We've only just started to embrace the return of our shows after a shortened strike season. Now, they are almost over. In the next few weeks all of our network favorites will say good-bye for the summer to be replaced with reality shows, reality game shows, reality soap operas, and Regis on primetime (again).
Needless to say, I'm a bit depressed. As I am sure you are as well. But, we will do our duty and press on. Thusly, we here at the sprawling lakefront offices of TV Squad (you choose the lakefront) have compiled list of when your favorite, and not so favorite, shows will be saying good-bye for their summer vacation. As usual, taking the fickleness of the networks, these times and days can change at a moment's notices. We will try to update you of those changes as quickly as our little fingers can type it out.
So, with a leaden heart, here are your season and series finales.

1. Do we even know for sure that BSG will not be back until 2009?
2. I have never watched it, but why is Wildfire ending? Are the ratings that bad or did they just run out of ideas? It seems like the show just started.

Whoa... BSG is coming back AGAIN?
I thought that the cast had recently completed filming the *final* episode and that Sci-Fi was going to air the whole 4th season in one complete arc.
Is this right? I'm going to lose my damn mind if the producers were forced to cut the series in half because of the damn strike.

Sci-Fi never had their shit together enough to show all the episodes at once even before the strike.

BSG final season will be 20 episodes split into two 10 episode ares. the first 10 concludes June 13th not May 30th. I don't believe there is a firm date for the second half of the final season.

If they already confirmed the not until 2009 thing, then how come TV Squad never officially reported it?
Also, huge shame on SciFi.

I believe that before the writer's strike BSG had ten episodes in the can. Meaning the first half of season 4. I could be wrong, but I think they might be back filming the final episodes of the series, BUT Sci-fi Channel decides when to air the episodes. They could air the first ten, and then not air the final 10 in two years if they wanted to. My point being, Sci-fi Channel decides the scheduling of BSG, not its creators.

Thank you for pointing out that Sci-Fi determines the airdates and schedules instead of the producers (which I incorrectly stated). I stand corrected.
I'm wondering if what I saw was correct, but I swear that I saw a clip that featured the cast after filming the series finale episode. It was a "behind-the-scenes" type of shoot where the cast was asked for their thoughts on completing the last episode, but they still kept specific details quiet.
So if all shooting has completed, it would be a lousy thing for Sci-Fi to split the season up and drag it into 2009. Is there any confirmation of the BSG schedule at the Sci-Fi website?

8 months of waiting until the final episodes of BSG air?! Oh, that is so evil that even Lex Luthor is saying "Damn Sci-Fi, that's just cruel!"

Your day/time are off for LOST. It's a 3 hour special over 3 nights, an hour a night.

Actually, they reported a few weeks ago that the finale would only be split into two parts. Part one, the first hour, will be the episode on the 22nd. Part two, hours two and three, will be from 9:00-11:00 PM on the 29th. Part one will repeat at 8:00 PM before part two for three hours total. So technically the finale, the two-hour episode, is on the 29th.

Actually, the first hour is airing on the 15th, and Grey's Anatomy is having a 2-hour finale on the 22nd (says so right in the article, it follows the Ugly Betty finale). So we have an extra week to be left hanging for the end of the season. Everything else there is right.

According to thefutoncritic.com, NBC said that the BSG 4.0 finale will air on June 13th, not May 30th. Also the only thing they said about 4.5 was "The 10 remaining episodes will then roll out sometime during the 2008-09 season."

It's been floating for some time that we would have to wait for the back half of BSG season four.

So we are making up bullshit here? Good to know.
And yes, they had 10-13 episodes finished before the strike, and the finale episode has not been been filmed yet.

That joke has been made several times already. Just showing how long I've been here, to be honest.

If dedicated TV viewers who read blogs about TV can't figure out just when the last episodes of "Lost" or "BSG" are on, or how long they are, or whether the first of 3 hours is a repeat of last week or not, or whether the "season" is split into two seasons 8 months apart, then
HOW THE HECK ARE AVERAGE TV VIEWERS SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHEN THEIR SHOWS ARE ON?
The networks (cable included) are killing themselves on this. They make it harder & harder for viewers to know when shows are on. Even DVRs can be fooled by these Stupid Network Programming Tricks. And they wonder why their industry is losing so many viewers.
