Big Brother 9: Live feeds report - April 25

Adam, one of the final two in the Big Brother 9 houseI personally think that Big Brother 9 spends a bit too much time with the last two hamsters alone in the house. That was my thought back when the last eviction was on a Thursday. I feel even more strongly about the issue this season with a Wednesday eviction. It's prolonging the agony. It's like waiting on line at the DMV, sitting in the waiting room at the dentist's office. It's like standing in the express line at the supermarket with two items and being stuck behind a cart full of groceries. You just want to get through it, leave it behind, and get on with your life.

The only interesting happenings in this period are the reactions to the jury questions. Read on for show spoilers!

Unlike other seasons, I really have no vested interest in whomever wins the season. I never had any individual I was cheering on throughout the season. I suppose I'd rather an Adam win than a Ryan win. But they both have their drawbacks and I'm not excited so much for either of them.

The biggest news out of the last day alone has been the jury questioning. We don't get to see the actual questioning on the feeds, but we certainly get a lot of peripheral information. So, I'm here today to tell you what I know.

Adam practiced his speech pleading his case with the jury: "I wish we all could be standing here. Without you guys here, it wouldn't be BB this year. I'm playing not for myself, but for something bigger. Ryan played a wonderful game himself, and I wish we could split the money but we can't. Like Sharon says everything happens for a reason. I feel I'm at the end for a reason. I did what i had to win, took risks, made alliances, even gave people breaks when I had to. It's not about winning the most comps." He called it his PowerPoint presentation. He also mentioned his cause -- the autistic children of America. Whether he'll redeem himself in the field is uncertain after calling the kids "retards." But in watching him talk about the work, his heart is really with them, it's just his mouth can be really stupid.

The jury questioning went down just after midnight their time. According to Adam, Sharon's mean alter-ego "Hoops" came out after Ryan. That should be good! He said James and Chelsia were the coolest of them all. I guess Chelsia created enough fireworks with her goodbye to the house and needs no more flames while on the jury. Apparently the ones who were the most riled up in the jury were Sharon, Sheila, and Joshuah. I'm thinking that sounds like it might not be so good for their ex-ally Ryan.

Here are some more jury highlights:

  • Joshuah asked Ryan if he was going to eat the guinea pigs. (Well, they are fattened up nicely -- perhaps marinated in a light garlic sauce, then over the grill?)
  • The jury members are going to be separated and won't be able to brainstorm constantly before the vote.
  • The jury laughed at Adam.
  • Adam mentioned Joshuah cried on his shoulder.
  • Ryan denied ever having a final two deal with Sharon.
  • At one point the feeds had Sheila's voice saying, "Liar, I don't want to give someone like that the money. Yes, he played a good game. But put your money where you mouth is, Adam." She also said something about the truth and favors, then the feeds were blocked.
  • Adam thinks he did well with Matt, Chelsia, and James' questions. It went south after Joshuah questioned him.
  • Adam doesn't think he will get Joshuah's vote.
  • Sheila was upset with Ryan for not taking her to the final two. (She's a single mother, you know.)
  • Adam's glad the jury will be separated because he thinks Joshuah and Sheila would be campaigning against him.
  • Ryan wishes he came up with a children's charity cause for votes.
  • Adam talked a heck of a lot more about the jury stuff than did Ryan.
In house crumbs:
  • Ryan cut up green peppers to give the guinea pigs and tried to imitate Sharon calling out "beebies." Okay, that was kind of cute.
  • They talked about their ex-housemates and who might have done well with the jury in the final two.
  • Adam and Ryan talked about whether Sheila saved Adam or not. Adam thinks "not."

I should make a note that no guinea pigs were harmed in the production of this entry. They do look tasty, though!
