Jennifer Lopez continues her quest to rule the world with a new reality series on TLC.The actress, singer, clothing and fragrance entrepreneur, and new mom of twins is partnering with actor-producers Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on a new unscripted series about Lopez's life with husband Mark Anthony, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Lopez will also executive produce the show.
"I think it'll be something very exciting," she said earlier today at the Discovery Network's upfront presentation in Manhattan.
TLC's deal with Ripa and Consuelos gives the cable network first-look rights to all unscripted projects the pair develops through their Milojo Productions. And in the everything-comes-back-around department, TLC president is Angela Shapiro-Mathes, who helmed ABC Daytime during the era when Ripa and Consuelos starred on All My Children in the 1990s.
The big question swirling around in my head is: Where do these women find the time and energy to do all this stuff? I've already outlined just a few of Lopez' accomplishments -- with the biggie being "new mom of twins." Hello?! Most new moms of twins can barely hold their head up from exhaustion. Producing and starring in a new TV series usually isn't first and foremost in their minds.
And then there's Kelly Ripa, mom to three young kids and co-host of Live With Regis and Kelly, not to mention all the commercials I've seen her in lately. The TLC deal also includes Ripa hosting her own series.
You know, whatever. More power to these women. I'd just like a teensy bit of whatever it is they're having.

I'm not sure what they're having, but I'm pretty sure you must be having something similarly potent if you don't think they have a squadron of assistants helping them accomplish all this. They couldn't couldn't accomplish 1/4 as much without them. Nor could they grace the celeb mags with their fabulous post-chilbirth figures without their personal chefs and trainers.
Oh the great things money can buy.

I really don't care to watch another damn reality show about famous people's lives. Something exciting? No.
And yes, they're having a gaggle of people take care of things for them.

I'd love to watch, but the Kimora Lee Simmons show already caused me to gouge my eyes out. Sorry.
