Here are the weekly ratings, by number of viewers.
If you were to pick a random TV fan off the street (The Street of TV Fans, I guess it would be called) and you asked them, "what is the #1 scripted show on television right now?," I would assume that not everyone would guess the answer to that question. A third of them would probably answer one of the CSI shows, a third would probably say one of the Law and Order shows (or maybe House), and the other third would probably say "what's a scripted show?"
But the answer this week is Desperate Housewives, followed very closely by NCIS. And I would bet no one would guess how high NCIS finishes every week.
1. American Idol - Tues (FOX)
2. American Idol - Weds (FOX)
4. Desperate Housewives (ABC)
5. Dancing with the Stars - Tues (ABC)
6. NCIS (CBS)
7. Two and a Half Men (CBS)
8. CSI: NY (CBS)
9. Law and Order: SVU (NBC)
10. Criminal Minds (CBS)
11. Survivor (CBS)
12. The Biggest Loser (NBC)
13. 60 Minutes (CBS)
14. CSI: Miami (CBS)
15. Presidential Debate (ABC)
16. CSI (CBS)
17. Hell's Kitchen (FOX)
18. Rules of Engagement (CBS)
19. Brothers & Sisters (ABC)
20. Oprah's Big Give (ABC)

NCIS is a great show ... I'm glad people are watching it, because that means it won't be put on a dreaded "hiatus".
Rules of Engagement in the top 20? Really? I mean, REALLY?

I can't believe Two and a Half Men is that popular. I guess people would like some comedies, and the best they could find was Two and a Half Men.

SVU was awesome last week - Olivia went undercover in a prison to catch this guard who was raping women prisoners... Mariska's performance was unreal - I had to watch parts of the episode peeking out from behind a pillow! It was quite scary... but a great ep (she needs another Emmy!)

NCIS is like the little engine that could... and flies totally under the radar. It's a great show, and I'm definitely glad to see it doing so well.
