(S09E31) Adam is safe and Natalie is on the block. She's been playing everyone against each other and now she's paying for it. Of course, in typical Natalie style, she's acting like a psycho, calling people out, and quoting Bible verse. Bottom line: This week the boys are in power. If Ryan and Adam wanted to be really devious, they should just split the vote and make Sheila decide. Find out if Natalie is safe and what the boys decided to do after the jump.
A lot happened in the Post-Veto section of the show. I might even need subtitles. Initial Reactions
Sharon said that Natalie has no idea how badly her alliance wants her out. She also mentioned that being on the block against Natalie is be fun. After the nomination, Natalie started her pleading with the boys. "I want to stick to the plan. Final Three," she said. She whined while the two guys laid on their beds and pondered the situation. Later on she fake-threatened them. Natalie widened her big goofy eyes and warned, "You boys better kept me!"
The House Meeting
After getting all dolled up, Ryan and Adam decided to call a house meeting to air out all the dirty laundry. Sheila didn't like the idea at all and said she was "freaked out." Natalie refused to sit at the dining room table because she was dyeing her hair. So, Ryan, Adam, Sheila, Sharon and the Bible all went into the bathroom to exorcise the demons. Ryan said to Natalie: "This would be good for you. You could defend yourself."
Rye Bread then stated the accusation: Natalie has told both Ryan / Adam and Sheila / Sharon that she's going to the final three with them. He also asked who Natalie would pout up next week if she got HOH. Backed into a corner and not smart enough to talk her way around it with everyone right there, Natalie had to choose. She vowed, "My true loyalty does stand with the two boys." Natalie swore that she's always been true to the boys. She wouldn't vote Ryan or Adam out. And if she got HOH next week, she would put up Sheila and Sharon.
"I still can't believe that these frigin' clowns did this," she yelled in her confessional. Sheila worried her plan to backdoor Natalie was disintegrating right before her eyes.
The Waterworks
Even after the house meeting, the boys still worried about Natalie playing all the sides of the house. So, they confront Natalie alone, who is STILL dyeing her hair in the bathroom. "I might have lied to them. But I have never lied to you guys ... If I have to lie to help you two, then I will, to them," she explained.
Then Natalie did the best thing she could've: turned on the waterworks. Hey, it saved James from getting nominated a week ago. Crying never hurts when Adam is involved. The music they played in the background was awesome, like the instrumental part of an 80s power ballad.
Still More Drama After all the house meeting, Natalie lashed out against Sharon. Here's what I find amusing though. She told the boys in the bathroom that she did talk about them, but only to protect them. Then she told Sharon in the kitchen that she never said anything bad about Ryan and Adam. Huh? Sharon defended herself by saying that she only reports what she hears. Natalie retaliated by calling her a liar.
The boys later went up to the HOH room and spoke to Sheila about their decisions. Of course she was upset about the boys reconsidering their votes and deviating from the plan. When Adam said "toss her out next week," Sheila responded that Natalie is the "bigger fish" and she needed to be dealt now. I think at that point Sheila was probably thinking that she should've put Ryan on the block next to Sharon. The conversation escalated so much that Adam was yelling at Sheila and called her a bitch. Sheila then demanded that Adam and Ryan get the hell out of her room.
Chelsia said that she definitely has feelings for James and misses him (still hasn't seen those compromising pictures on the internet, huh?). But she doesn't want James to come to the Jury House because then she would have to vote for someone she didn't like to win a half-million dollars. Right before James came in, Josh had a premonition that one of his alliance would walk through the door. Matt seemed happy to see James though. "Payback's a bitch," he laughed in his confessional. While the jury watched the video, James pointed out that Adam gave him a chance to play for the veto. I know it didn't seem like a good move last week but I think that Adam made some friends in the jury house with his compassionate moves. I think Josh and Chelsia may have been impressed with Adam not putting James on the block.
After James showed the video, he said that it makes a difference if you leave the house on a good note. Then he did something extremely entertaining. After he complimented both Matt and Josh, James called out Chelsia for her immature remarks upon leaving the BB house. He even said that he was evicted because of Chelsia's behavior. James called himself the "residue of Chelsia." Chelsia looked shocked and started crying. She ran to her room but James followed. He acted like he hadn't said anything remotely upsetting and then tickled her. We left them kissing and laughing. Okay, whatever floats your boat, Chelsia. I can't help you.
As usual the speeches came first. Sharon said that if it was her time to leave, then it was her time. She thanked everyone for the experience. Natalie fought back tears and reassured her boys of her loyalty. She begged them to keep her. Ryan voted to evict Natalie.
Adam voted to evict Sharon.
OMG! A tie. Oh, how amazing the hamsters are sometimes. Every once in a while, they really make watching this damn show three times a week worth it, don't they? Sheila had to break the tie; she voted to evict Natalie. She held it together pretty well and didn't look too shocked about the tie. Sheila told a crying Natalie that since she told everyone that her loyalties lied with Ryan and Adam, she had to evict her. After Natalie left, Sheila said that she wasn't happy about having to break the tie but at least Natalie was gone. She hugged the guys but looked pretty miffed at them.
Natalie cried all the way out the door and all the way to the bench next to the Chenster. "I'm very upset because they both told me that they were going to vote to keep me," she whimpered when Julie asked how she felt. Natalie added that she only played both sides to protect her boys. She seemed genuinely hurt that both guys didn't vote to keep her.
Natalie continued to weep while she watched her good-bye videos. Sheila said that she really cared for Natalie and they had some good times and bad ones. Sharon said, "Oh my God, I don't even know where to begin, Natalie." Ryan said he wanted to keep her. Adam said he was sorry but if it came down to final two he didn't think that Natalie would choose to keep him over Ryan.
The hamsters were asked questions about their fellow houseguests past and present and the Big Brother house. They must decide whether the statements are fact or fiction. The hamster with the most points after seven questions is the new HOH.
1. When America voted on which houseguest would be in the mystery box, Allison received the fewest votes. Fiction: Jacob received the fewest votes.
Ryan and Sharon both got it right.
2. The toy in the guinea pig habitat still holds a valuable Big Brother house secret.
Fiction: Just a toy.
No one got it right.
3. Chelsia was escorted out of the Jury House by security.
Fiction: Chelsia is still there.
Sharon got it right.
4. The number eight has a secret meaning in the BB game.
Fiction: No meaning.
Ryan and Sharon got it right.
5. Amanda faked an illness including faitning to win over her housemates.
Fiction: Her illness was real.
Everyone got it right.
6. James and Chelsia have stopped speaking to each other at the Jury House.
Fiction: Still speaking.
Everyone got it right.
7. Everyone knows Jacob/Sharon and Ryan/Jen were pre-existing relationships in the BB house. But there is a third relationship still there.
Fact: The guinea pigs are still there. (This one was crap if you ask me.)
Ryan got it right. Ryan and Sharon are now tied.
The tiebreaker: In the HOH competition Glass Houses, how many total combined minutes ddi all the houseguests stay int heir boxes? Round it to the nearest minute.
Ryan said 310. Sharon said 184. The correct answer was 557 minutes. Ryan is the new HOH. That guinea pig question was dumb. Sharon should be the new HOH, in my humble opinion.

If you ask me, BB rigged those questions because for some reason they did not want Sharon to win, esp. when you heard Julie fumbling to find the answer. That was a real stupid question. I really hate this BB. TG for your blog Jackie cause I really don't watch much of the show, I tivo it and then just skim thru it, some of their voices are so annoying but at least Natalie the stalker is gone. I can't wait to see Matt's reaction in sequester. I wonder if she will start stalking him there. I really hope BB did a better job at casting the summer season.

If you want to think it was rigged, then it would make more sense that it was rigged in Sharon's favor. It was such an odd question that one would assume that all 3 of them would choose fiction and Sharon would have won right there and then.

If Ryan or Adam does not win POV, they essentially shot themselves in the foot. Hear me out...
Ryan puts up Shelia and Sharon for nomination.
Either Sharon or Shelia wins POV...They put Adam up and he is automatically sent home because the person who won POV (Sharon or Shelia) is the only one who gets to vote.
Then next week for HOH, Ryan can't win b/c he won this week and therefore Sharon and Shelia make an alliance to go to final 2 and vote to get rid of Ryan.
Although this whole plan could be wrong if Ryan is allowed to compete for HOH next week.
Good episode this week, Ryan and Adam played Natalie b/c now she does not know which one of them voted against her.

Although a good theory, it's not exactly true. Everyone plays for HOH in the final three. It's made up of three events, and the winners of the first two events compete in the third. And the person that wins the last event basically gets to choose who gets evicted. So Ryan can compete next week.

Mkarmin1, very true, but thats only if one of the girls win POV...If not, then one of the ladies are going home. I really think Adam has a good chance of winning, if he makes it to the end. I think he does truely have a good heart and not nominating James, got his and Chelsia vote to win the money. Only time will tell.

Since the questions were supposed to be about the "house guests" putting in that guinea pig question was stupid. Yes, technically, the guinea pigs are "house guests," but nobody was going to be thinking of them as a possible answer. Goodness, I guess those guinea pigs should be in the opening credits then!
Stupid stupid stupid. And on top of that, now Ryan and Adam and Sheila and Sharon will think there is another related pair among the HUMAN houseguests, which is not true.

Dunno why people are not happy with this season, I think its GREAT! My wife and I really enjoy this season. I was so hoping the guys would split the vote and then bam they did that was such a good move. No shiela will have some blood on her hands and it wont look like the guys simply backdoored Nat.
I don't see the girls coming together to bring each other along. Rooting for Ryan or Balla to bring it home.

As for the question it was dumb, you even see Ryan throws his hands up as he chooses "fact" because he is just hoping for a win knowing that Sharon will go "fiction" and it was his only chance. But since all the other answers were "fiction" it was a pretty good bet that the last one would be "fact".
Also you can't blame that silly ? for Sharon losing, Ryan sucks at numbers and he beat her in the tiebreaker - plain and simple.

Ryan is actually pretty good with numbers. He was pretty darn good guessing the number of items in containers in that veto competition. He only lost to James because he took the pass because he wasn't confident.

Actually, Ryan can play for HOH when we get to the final 3. becasue it is a 3 part HOH competition. When the next HG leaves on Wednesday, the first part of the 3 part HOH comp begins. So Ryan can play for the next HOH

Thanks Jackie for your awesome posts. I just have to say: hahahahahaha to Natalie. The look on her face was absolute priceless when she realized that Shiela had to be the tie-breaker! I think she might hae been begging there for a minute. I guess Jesus isn't her friend anymore or maybe he stopped talking to her!! Hehehehe..i was so very happy when she got evicted. It made me laugh so hard so see her panic when she realized that she was OUT!!!
THAT was great reality TV. Her crying made me laugh even harder when she was talking to Julie. I don't care who wins really but it wont be her!!

Ok...if Ryan puts up Adam & Sharon and the noms stay the same then Sheila is the only vote. I seriously doubt she would evict Adam. She has sworn to stick by him and even if they bicker like an old married couple, I do believe she would stay true to her word.
If he puts up Sharon & Sheila, I think Adam would keep Sheila for the same reasons I think Sheila would keep him.
If he puts up Adam & Sheila (which I doubt he has the balls to do) then I think Sharon would keep Sheila.
So...the only way I see Adam going this week would be if he manages to be on the block next to Sheila. Will it happen, who knows?

Once Julie announced a tie and that the decision to evict would have to be made by Sheila, you could see the look on Natalie's face. She knew she was gone. She was going to kick Sheila out if she stayed in the house, so there was no way Sheila would be stupid enough to keep her.
Also you didn't mention in the article, but didn't Ryan and Adam tell Sheila that they knew they would vote they way they did so she would have to make the final decision?

Sharon wuz robbed. The question was lame, the answer even lamer, and the only one who got it right was the biggest lame-O in the house.

Dave, I think the boys mentioned it to Sheila, but it wasn't definate. Shiela didn't want to be the tie breaker. Like she said on the show, she didnt want to do it, but Natalie made it easier for her to vote her out, since it was mentioned if N won HOH, Sheila wouldve been on the block.

Did anybody find it strange that on the last questions that BB waited to see what the answers were from the HG, then seemed to decide what the answer to the question would be. Chen started to g ive the answer, then stopped waited to a count of 5, then said that Ryan was right with the G Pigs. I am just imagining Julie about to gie the answer when a producer cames in her hear and saiys to wait (while they write GP on the screen) and give the opposite answer. Julie did not even give the answer to the HG other than Fact or Fiction, it just showed up on the screen. Seems like a fix to me.

I understand that the GP question was silly, but some mentioned BB was rigged to have Ryan as the new HOH. The house doesn't know how Ryan was going to answer.

Exactly. I don't see how anyone could think it was rigged either. Hell, if one wants to think it was rigged, they could have said it was rigged in Sharon's favor as they would have assumed all three of them would have assumed it was fiction and thereby securing the win for Sharon.

I'm not saying it was rigged, but here's how it could have happened:
Because the score was close, Sharon leading 5-4, I think, if Ryan agrees with Sharon, he automatically loses. When he chose to disagree, the only people who knew he had done so were the people monitoring the production. When they realized he had done so, they could certainly notify Julie as to the answer they wanted and tell her to stall while they wrote the caption that lets the audience know why it is "fact," since it is basically a bullshit answer. The test here is whether the amount of time it took Julie to give the answer is significantly different than the time it took her to give all of the other answers. According to some of the bloggers who have recorded the show, there is a discernible lapse of time and an audible message being relayed to Julie during that time period. It is also well-known that Julie communicates with the production staff during her appearances. So, the producers definitely had the opportunity to control the outcome.
I would also disagree with the notion that Big Brother would rig the game to favor Sharon. The aim of the show is ratings. BB producers monitoring the HOH competition are able to assess which personality seems most "attractive" ratings-wise. Sharon has been basically invisible. She does not involve herself in controversies and in the only real confrontation she had (with Natalie)she was unwilling to mount any aggression or display any emotion. Passivity does not make for good TV. Ryan is more aggressive and hence more "attractive". By allowing him to tie, and force a tie-breaker, they gave him a chance to win HOH and now he is assured of being in the final 3. This gives BB a little more aggressive personality on which to focus for the next couple of weeks, at least. Plus, the fall-out from the outcome of that show generated controversy and interest. There's your motive.
So, BB producers had motive and opportunity, the hallmarks of all crimes. I'm not saying they rigged it, but it sure smells bad.
